Definitely one of the best Sonic rom hacks. The music is not only stellar, but the levels and graphics feel like a successor to Sonic CD, and Metal Sonic actually plays differently than normal Sonic rather than simply being a reskin.

Loved the run, especially one strat I've never thought of (8:57), I feel as this run can be improved significantly faster, such as taking advantage with zero gravity more often (Orbital Base Act 3), etc. Can't wait to see a Masterquest walkthrough soon. ◕‿◕

I've always wanted to make a ROM hack with this guy. The story I'm working on is that Metal Sonic is actually Sonic from the future, made into a robot. Once Metal Sonic loses to Sonic and realizes his creator has abandoned him, Metal Sonic goes on a quest to find the time stones and prevent his capture. I dunno, I thought it sounded cool...

So i've beaten this mod, An'd i've been trying to figure out the level select code. the hint is the NA release of sonic cd, which is November 23, 1993 (11, 23, 1993) I've tried seemingly all kinds of combinations of the numbers. I assume they have to be entered into the sound test like classic sonic 2. anyone have more information?

@@redaknight apparently you did enough to comment. I see hundreds of comments remarking about how Razor is a god of 2d sonic that knows romhacks like the back of his hand and never makes mistakes. Most of them don't realize that these aren't his real-time gameplay. There are many people way more talented that don't get their deserved recognition. How hard is it to put a line in your description about a run being TAS. Its standard practice in many gaming communities. R&Z get away with never doing it because...why exactly? They're not gonna lose viewers. It literally won't affect them at all to make a disclaimer. But it would be a nice gesture to be forthcoming about how the video was made considering people do runs like this for real and they tirelessly reset runs to get rid of their real mistakes organically because they are human. Thats way more impressive than making a TAS.

+Lone Devil I think you have a good point, and I really don't mind it being gone. I just wasn't used to his new move-set/play-style, so playing the final version after playing the older version so much and finally beating it, it was just weird without having the dash. Also, I think the jump-dash works well in Sonic the Hedgehog Rocket, one of my favorite hacks along side this one.
