Typically Ateez' music is written and produced by the team called Edenary. But this song was produced by Hongjoong himself. Hongjoong and Seonghwa wrote all the lyrics as well. Everything about this song is a straight up diss to their haters and call out to their stalkers. As you can probably tell by the lyrics, but the video itself also reflects that. Notably the figure who put a tracker on the car at the very beginning. A stalker did that to one of their vans. Not sure if you know, but Hongjoong and Seonghwa as a unit are called MATZ. It's a shortened version of the Korean word for "Older Brothers" cause these two are the oldest in the group. They're also considered the parents of Ateez. Look forward to three more MVs! Hongjoong did the beats for this song! He was the main producer/composer for Matz and both he and seonghwa wrote the lyrics

I agree, Seonghwa’s voice is indeed something else, especially considering how he’s a vocalist before he is a rapper - he has a really solid and growing vocal range, which is very likely a general advantage when it comes to rapping as he can apply those ranges to his rapping as well. He deserves all the praise in the world!

As someone who has never liked rap in any form, Ateez is my one exception. The beats, their voices everything is so atypical of what I normally associate with rap. And this song has me obsessed. So glad you loved it.

I haven't double checked the credits for this song in particular, but i know Hongjoong (Ateez leader, opens the song) writes pretty much all his own raps (as does the other main rapper Mingi) and has a hand in the lyrics and production of most of their other stuff alongside their in house production team Edenary. And the other half of matz, Songhwa, wrote at least some of his raps for this one.

ateez (kq in general) have a production team called edenary consists of Eden, Buddy, LEEZ and Ollounder but Hongjoong does a lot of the production too!

Ateez’ production team Edenary, consists of six or seven people including our captain Hongjoong and Mingi. All 8 members wrote lyrics for this album, but Hongjoong and Mingi are the only 2 that usually take part in the production and actual composing of the music. Matz is the ship name that fans have for the friendship between Hongjoong and Seonghwa , who are like the father and mother of the group to the other members. Hongjoong also wrote the song Thank You for Seonghwa because it’s easier for him to express his feelings through music rather than just awkwardly say it to him.

I first found this group when I came across a video they did with Pentatonix. Ever since I’ve been binging their music and videos. I watched a great live performance of a song titled Dejavu. Oh and I’m 63, 64 in a few days. So even we “old” people can love new and non-typical music (for our age group).

They announced on Christmas Day that they would release 1 music video per week in January, as a Christmas present to the fans. I believe it will be all the Unit songs from the album. Hongjoong and Seonghwa first, then San, Wooyoung, and Yeosang. Then the duet with Mingi and Yunho, and finally Jongho’s solo song.

SeongMom auditioned at first for Ateez to be a rapper... That's why he has such fire swag in the rapping department. 🔥 😎 🔥... Also this song written by the duo references Ateez recent issue with some obsessed fans and how they were putting GPS trackers on their cars and looking up their phone numbers and tracking numbers... The lines for that say "GPS" and "TRACKING NUMBERS" and "PUT THE TRACKERS ON YOUR LUGGAGE INSTEAD"... Also when Hong says "EVER SINCE I WAS BORN I WAS LOOKING AT THE SKY"...meaning, that he's always kept his head held high and nothing will bring them down, not even these negative situations... Then he says, "FIND SOMETHING TO DO"...basically saying...get a life and get a job and stop obsessing over us...we are just humans, so what is the need?!... Fire responses to a sticky situation! 😎... I mean, this situation got so sticky that KQ had to release a statement specifically to the obsessed fans that they have the police force involved and they are taking legal action and the obsessed fans have basically been put on a watch list and when you get the Korean police force involved you KNOW they don't play on even the slightest thing, so these obsessed fans are really in trouble at this point.

I absolutely love this group. I am ARMY first, and then ATINY. I consider these guys the rock version of BTS. If you haven't checked it out, you should watch Hongjoong cover Michael Jackson, David Bowie, and Linkin Park. He does an unbelievable job.
