Indian reactors to this song have praised it foŕ how well the singing and dancing and hand movements were done . Some were ready to kick off about how it was culture appropriation and ended up praising it for their respect for Indian culture 😊

It's a shame they did the trippy visuals during the dance. It's brilliant

@DaElfer yes agreed i hated that it missed the excellent courography out with kaleidoscope effects 😢

I find it very fascinating how a simple idea like „let‘s create a song with an Indian feel“ leads to such a perfect piece of art. The Metal instrumentation, the Indian sounding leads, the vocals, the choreography, the Bollywood looking visuals on the screen… it all integrates so perfectly. But just like you, what impresses me the most are Su‘s vocals. I‘m sure that style is very hard to pull off, and I can totally picture her practicing her ass off until it‘s absolutely perfect. And that‘s all for just one song, then she goes on to practice rapping for BxMxC… I really admire this diligence and perfectionism.

Great reaction ... and yes this could easily be in a movie - if it was a Bollywood movie. This is their homage to Indian music right from the sitar at the start to the lyrics and the fact that shanti is a Sanskrit word (also used in other Indian languages) meaning peace. Repeated 3 times it means peace in body, mind and spirit (or in thought, word and deed perhaps). Yes Su-metal masters another completely different vocal style at her first attempt - and the choreo was also very authentic (as confirmed by dancers with an Indian background who have watched the performances). Moa said that getting the hand movements just right was very difficult since they are so different to any other hand movements in other dance styles. The video editor got really carried away with the kaleidoscope effects - sadly to the detriment of the choreo, a lot of that was missed as a result. In live performances the kaleidoscope stuff is on the big screen, so we do get to see the choreo then.

I think she has a video where she re-watched a live version but I'm not 100% sure.

This is my absolute favourite Babymetal song, I feel it's so underrated! Thank you so much for reacting to it! I feel the MV takes away from the beautiful choreography, so I definitely recommend watching it live :)

They just performed this song on 3/2/24 at Yokohama arena. This song is so great when performed live. The resonating deep bass and powerful bass drum beat evoke shivers down your spine at the venue. BABYMETAL will also be headlining a two-day Fox_Fest at Saitama Super Arena on May 25 and 26. Joining them on stage will be Electric Callboy and Polyphia, with more performers to be announced later."🤘🦊🤘

_Accha accha accha acchaaa_ 🦊🤘🔥 Nice to see you're back with more BM songs, and happy belated birthday to MomoMetal🥳🍑❤️ They brought back SSS (Shanti x3) last year at live concerts in Asia and Australia, and was one of the regular songs in their setlist, i think is cool because is one of the songs is usually favorite among the female fans, they didn't at Europe and UK Tour but a couple of days ago they did it again at Legend MM "20 Night" celebrating MomoMetal's birthday, around 30k fans witnessed this special moment with MomoMetal singing "MomoBanger" (which is Headbanger!!) and Meta Taro along with some more comeback songs and surprises, i would have love to see you there John, hopefully you will next May 25 - 26 they announced Fox_Fest with Electric Callboy and Polyphia already in the list, more artists will join.🤘🔥 This journey to Metal Galaxy on their 3rd album from 2019 got a lot of songs picking up rhythms from all over the world and combine with the unique sound of BM. SSS got a clear Indian influence and elements, others songs got folk metal or latin rhythms, or Thai rap, so this journey is wild. They got another song with a title referred to Hindu mythology called "MAYA" but the sound is nothing like this. The third backup dancer or "avenger" in the official MV is Kano Fujihira, just remember none of them got official name revealed and aren't official members, but that status changed recently with MomoMetal. MoaMetal talked about this saying it was one of the hardest choreo to match up and get in sync with every one of the avenger, especially at Legend Metal Galaxy 2020 when all the avengers switch up in the same show (also taking it a break) while Moa performing the full set. Next suggestion: - META! Meta Taro live at Dark Night Carnival 2018. See you next time 🦊🤘🔥

You caught the Indian yodel moment, though you didnt mention it as such, its i think what made you pause the final time (after acha acha acha). Su does some crazy vocal tricks in this song, and the dancers properly did Indian style dance moves, authentic ones. This song has long been praised for how appropriately it honors India's cultural dancing/singing styles. In the BABYMETAL way. Unfortunately you miss a lot of the dance moves because of the visuals they use in the official. Treat yourself to just watching a live performance without the visuals. Moa and whichever Avenger is in the performance you pick will do some CRAZY good hand and head movements on top of the body and leg work.

Excellent reaction. Babymetal performed this live in Brisbane, on the Australian leg of their 2023 world tour. Until I saw this song live, I hadn't really rated the song too highly, however the drumming live is insanely powerful but what really sold me on the song was how beautifully Moa and Momo harmonized in thirds above Su's prevailing melody lines. This made the vocal lines sound so much fuller, and really showed how much work Moa and Momo do to support Su's vocals. As I have said, I didn't really rate Shanti that highly, but after seeing it performed live, I walked away from the concert thinking that it was the best song in their set list that night. It was simply incredible.

Shanti is a song that didn't really grab me when I first heard it, but after seeing it live three times on their Australian tour and then again at Legend MM, it's really grown on me. Although it seems like they don't perform it that often, it's actually their 20th most played song.

Noooice! You been holdin’ out on us with the Babymetal content 😂. Great tune. This is from the Legend Metal Galaxy Day 1 show I believe. Also, there’s a Su-metal in ear monitor rip of this song. Ultra raw, not the best quality, but one can appreciate her vocals without any processing to the click track. 🤘🦊
