he opened about his Bipolar and DID (Dissociative İdentity Disorder) his music is reflection of his life there is storyline that he is telling us going on through the songs its incredibly beautiful 😭🤍

I highly recommend watching some of his interviews from the last couple of years. He did one with Zach Sang, which goes really in depth with his bipolar diagnosis, as well as his experience going to Korea without knowing the language or having a job, and that is where the going door to door asking people to dance came from. And he did a sit down with JRE from JREKML (whom he's friends with) which is in two parts where he talks about the process he went through with the album he dropped last year. There are several other interviews he has done but those are the two that come to my mind. Anyway! Thank you so much for reacting to this John! Take care ✌

***** Thanks for That. I Saw the ZACH SANG Interview. With Him, Bipolar Disorder could fuel Creativity or Creativity could fuel the Disorder. Hard to tell. But a lot of Creatives have this Diagnosis. As with any AXIS 1 Diagnosis, It can't be "cured", but it can be Managed.

I know that everyone kinda talked about it but to have more informations and understand more, Ian is Bipolar and also has D.I.D which is (Dissociative identity disorder), he based the storyline on both of his disorders. Mito and Mr. Insanity are not characters but personalities they came when he was a child because of severe trauma before the brain has time to make 1 personality. Ian, Mito, Mr. Insanity and others personalities if he has more all have different voices, taste in food, clothes, knowledge there is things that Mito is going to know or like but not Ian. And if I'm not wrong Mito is the "Persecutor Alter" Alter is the medical term for the personalities. Mito is the one who holds all the trauma that Ian went through so Ian doesn't really remember what happened he also protects Ian and Mr. Insanity is the one who is most likely to do something bad and put him in "bad situations". Hope you understood a little better ahah I tried my best :)

Fun fact about DPR IAN: He was heavily into the heavy metal/hardcore scene growing up in Sydney, Australia and if it wasn’t for his K-Indie/KRNB journey, he would’ve been in a local/underground metal band in Sydney :) Source: Mindset, Dive Studios

the reason the music is all over the place is because his alters make the music also, so depending on who is fronting at the time, the music will change. it's really interesting to hear him talk about how he will start making a song and then go manic, either high or low, and when he comes out of his manic state and back to the song he has no idea what his alter was thinking for those parts, but it all ties up nicely together. i love this man!

It's bcs he uses the same tone just different key in the instruments like if u listen to it u can hear the electronic end time be the same as the start of the guitar tone and the electronic end to the violin start that's how idk how to explain it
