I think a lot of men lose the toxicity when they have daughters or granddaughters. They want to play with them, so they end up attending princess parties, make up being done and their nails polished. My dad is a mechanic/handyman, when I was little he would come and wrestle with my brothers. Then look at me and say 'shall we have a princess party with your bros or is it time for a manicure.' I loved it! He would let me be a girly girl, while he sat next to me doing the same.

Jin is very much his own man. He wants purple hair, he'll dye it himself. The company wants him to cut his hair, he'll refuse. Pink is not a colour I feel comfortable wearing but Jin loves it and that's fine. I really felt for him when the jewels fell off his pink mic. Yes, they've all had pink hair at sometime but Jimin and RM are the ones who stand out as having had a true light pink colour. I hope you get to Seoul for FESTA. I would think that the next time they do anything big for it though will be 2026 because next year they may not actually have been demobbed in time.

Thank you for sharing this with us, John! Jin has also publicly stated that he wanted his mom to be proud of him and that he cooked the dishes that his mom taught him to make. I love how Jin has always done what he wanted to make ARMY laugh or be entertained, even if it would make him look silly or over the top. Not long now for us who are waiting for our WWH. All the best for your trip to Seoul; it would be really great if you can see our bias Jin in the flesh! Brace yourself, though, apparently he is even more devastatingly handsome in person.

Jin will be back on June 12th and their debut date is indeed June 13th. He promised he'd go live but given that he's only been home for one day I don't know how much we can realistically expect from him. But tbh I'll take whatever he gives us. 😅👍🥰 Also, we're trying to get his Spotify streams to 1 billion across all credits by the time he returns so please stream his songs a little extra until then. It's fairly close and definitely doable. We'll also try to get Super Tuna and The Astronaut to trend in the final week before his homecoming. If we succeed we'll try to do the same for all of them, trending one or two specific solo songs to be determined later in their final week of service. 💜 #JinIsBackSoon #APOBANGPO #Borahae

People that don't understand BTS's success just don't know them like that. Not only their music helps millions of people but also their personalities and values. Them being such pure souls and unapologetically themselves gives so much support to Army 💜 I hate that some men take "toxic masculinity" as "masculinity is toxic". Toxic masculinity is harmful for men and women alike. And I hate that some people justify their toxic masculinity as part of their culture. Also, the fact that someone calls out your toxic behaviours doesn't mean that you are a bad person either but not trying to improve as a person is just sad...

I've always loved Jin's joy in simply being who he is, loving what he loves. And he looks really good in pink! He'll be back so soon, and I can't wait. Jin with his bad jokes and big heart. I'm with you on toxic versus healthy masculinity. We can find ways to be men that still let us have feelings, be vulnerable, be kind. When we conform to those expectations... I mean, too many men are lonely AF, scared to show vulnerability, unable to connect with other people. It's really hard and sad. The reason I fell down the BTS rabbit hole was that I really desperately needed more examples of men being soft and strong and openly affectionate. And here there were these seven men who just love the hell out of each other, and cry onstage, and talk about their own weaknesses, and are genuinely not into being manly for the sake of it. Jin is a great example but it's all of them really. It's not like anyone can take away who we are just because we cry, you know? Or like to take care of people, or admit when we're scared. It's been neat watching you open up onscreen, honestly. You've always been a sweet person who wants to bring joy to people, but you're more comfortable showing us when things really move you, now. I've been around a while and I noticed 💜

Jin is so sweet, I love that he isn't afraid to be who he is and like what he likes. I feel like all of the members support him and they also share the attitude. They will cry, hug each other when times are rough. They share their true feelings. I have seen them comfortable in clothes that could be considered 'feminine". I love that men now have examples of true men in BTS and Jin.

My son thought that he had to be brave and hold his feelings in when he was growing up. This was what he picked up from society in general. And he suppressed his feelings for so long that about five years ago he had a nervous breakdown when those feelings came barreling out and burned his brain.the toxicity that prevents men from being honest about their feelings, but shame them for being gentle, is destroying our boys. My son is forever damaged from that experience but he’s now at least being honest about his feelings.

Yes people confuse being vunerable as weak and that is why i love bts these guys not afraid to cry or share their tue feeling even when it is embarrassing and i know in the west it is frown up when a guy cry but it should not be. being a wino is different been hurt and cry express raw real emotions it is normal wether you are a guy or a girl. wear pink should not be an issue. wearing pink or soft material does not make anyone guy men should be confident in who they are nothing makes you gay. you either is gay or not. so i love bts for what they stand for and i cannot wait until jin return he will play games on weverse when he return. before he start is album.

It started out as a marketing campaign. Clothing manufacturers/retailers wanted to sell more clothes and pushed this boy colors/girl colors idea in popular magazines to discourage hand-me-downs within families. To top the ridiculousness off, the original binary pushed pink for boys as a “stronger” color (derived from “passionate” red, therefore less appropriate for girls) and “calm” blue for girls, but years later they got switched. Then at some point toys started getting color-gendered too, and by now it’s completely off the rails with pretty much everything having a “pink” version.

Pink was historically meant to be a boy colour. Purple was for girls. Heels were for men (riding horses & keeping their feet clean from the sewige covered floor) Women took them to be more masculine to the point they are now feminine

Good for him. Growing up I remember my dad came home with a white and pink shirt and my mom was Not. Having. It. (It was the 80’s, trust me, pink was NOT the most questionable choice out there by far) Every time my dad wore it my mom would have a mini-meltdown. Even as a kid I found it a ridiculous basis for a fight.

I'm 62, and since finding BTS, I sleep with BT21 plushies every night. As for toxic masculinity, I find it to be a buzz word and thrown about to easily. I feel for men who are attacked for everything. My ex husband was an abusive, mean and controlling person, that's toxic. HAPPY NOW😁💜💜with my partner and 7 boyfriends.

Not all masculinity is toxic, but some of it very much is. It doesn't have to be as bad as your ex to be bad. It doesn't mean *men* are bad - we're trapped by these expectations too. Plenty of men push back against the harmful assumptions, including me, but the bad parts of masculinity are still there. I'm a big part of trying to find healthier ways to be men, better for us and for the world. John here is definitely on this team too 😁
