This is the purpose of a singing, you’re doing story telling, you send the message and the emotions to the audience. Raspy voice or whistle voice means nothing if you can’t deliver the message or the emotions. And now a days many singers and people only focusing on that not the emotions/story telling, which in my opinion turns out into showing off, self center showing people how good you are. While CK can deliver the emotions and story, and he got that God given raspy voice that added another level in emotions and story telling. Nice and genuine reaction bro, thank you for that. I think next you should react to his cover of IRIS originally by the Goo Goo Dolls
