I do not think he has formal training coz he was so poor in the Philippines. I just watch today here in youtube how he had a difficult time trying to join America's Got Talent, he even asked his local gov't officials like the mayor to help him get funds to come here in the states, but they were laughing at him and thought the invitation from AGT is fake or a scam. I am just happy that he made it to AGT.💥❤✌👏🙏

Roland “ Bunot” Abante has no formal training in singing. It is God given talent.

Just karaoke training, started singing on birthday parties, houses, street fairs and small groups challenges. Came from a poor family but enough to survive as a fisherman and tricycle driver for a living. So he is gifted by the Lord with a natural voice. Find his video where he is singing shirtless @ to love somebody " in a neighbors house someone uploaded it that went viral in the Phil.and all other songs.Check his rendition of "I did it my way, Portrait of my love,Your the reason, Journey songs open arms, foolish heart etc.

I’m a Filipino, & it fills my heart with happiness whenever I see a Filipino on stage here in USA. You can hear him how he talk when he answered Heidi and Simon during AGT auditioned. Also he has a contagious laughs when Howie made a joke wow! That was a big catch of the day. Roland understood the joked and was laughing hard. I love his laughter and great voice.. He is such a humble guy.
