I would recommend watching the documentary “The Show Must Go On: the Queen + Adam Lambert Story.” It covers how Queen and Adam Lambert got together after they saw him do the Led Zeppelin song on American Idol.

A little about theatrics... Adam is currently performing on Broadway in Cabaret and is literally killing it.

And he dyed his hair back to his original strawberry blonde for a while and yes, he did look like his dad. He has since gone back to dark brown.

Alison (girl with red hair) worked with Adam on his velvet album, she was one of the background singers and went on tour with him , looks like she is still singing so that is great!

John, thanks so much for playing the entire run of songs! I’m 73 , and I about fell out of my chair when I heard him at that first audition! Like you, I think that him coming in second was the best thing in the long run.

Love your comments!!! And BTW Adam sang in Nashwille a country song Girl Crush with Leona Lewis at the 2015 CMT Artists of the Year awards and it was amazing! All country artists there loved it!

I missed this live, but I LOVED Adam Lambert after AI. I loved watching him grow up to who he is now. I know he'll never be Freddy, but I'm sure Freddy would have been happy that QUEEN is still going.with him singing.

Hi,I’ve been watching your reaction videos for quite a while now and I really like your comments. I’m a glambert ,I live in Australia. I’m in my 70s ,you have such a beautiful heart , I was a nurse in a dementia hospital for a long time. So thanks for all you do for those people. I’ve watched Adam’s idol journey several times , he’s amazing, as are you. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺❤

I watched this when it was on and have never seen anyone better him in competition,he was amazing,I was really getting angry with the comments from some of the judges, the other guy who won was pale in comparison. However it didn’t do Adam any harm because look at him now with queen, and where’s the other guy ,never seen again

I remember watching his original audition on American Idol and thinking to myself "this kid's going to be a HUGE star." He had that amazing voice, charisma, and stage presence, and he came across as normal - poised and confident but not arrogant or douchey. His talent is really obvious here, but I actually think that he's gotten better over the years. He's more polished, more thoughtful in how he uses his voice, but has lost none of the power and distinctiveness of his vocals.

Thank you doing this, brings back memories. I missed the telecast at the time, but was introduced later and caught some of the weekly shows' reviews. One reviewer noted that in addition to vocals, Adam did try to distinguish himself with the audience in other ways too... like for movie theme week, when most of the others did ballads and soulful numbers, he "came skipping out" with Born to be wild. (Country week being the most obvious one too lol)

Adam Lambert was yet another contestant that was bullied by Simon. Made fun of Adam's makeup. Look up Adam's performance of Sia's "Chandelier " on America's Got Talent. Simon is much softer since he had a child. Simon also bullied Jennifer Hudson about her weight. Both are laughing all the way to the bank.
