polites is %100 right. This life is amazing if you greet with open arms its dangerious, kindness is brave after all and you might get hurt. But can you imagine if you greet everything with threats and ruthlesness? That kind of life even if longer and safer will be horrible, nothing but sorrow and sadness will wait for you to rest of yourlife. to be happy we need to be brave and kinder, even if it sounds unwise thing to do.

Im very glad you went back and watched these! I do suggest you rewatch the cyclope saga on your own time before diving into the Ocean saga just so you get the full picture. And yes.. Polites (the sunshine character with glasses) is odysseus' childhood best friend No need to be sorry atleast you saw it now! Cant wait for the next video

After watching: Metal fan? Oh, now I know what song I'm looking forward to you seeing... And yeah, Athena gets awesome piano riffs- it's her instrument! Thank you for noticing that rift on 'mind'- it's one of the many wonderful bits of musical story telling that Jay built in. It represents Odysseus' influence on Athena. You'll notice, at the end of 'My Goodbye,' that she hold the last note straight again. She's rejecting his influence after their argument.

Yeah… They were, in Epic, friends since childhood. These are arguably two of the most important songs in the sagas. His friendship with Polites, and wanting to keep his “open arms” philosophy is one reason he spared the cyclops. And, this time thing Athena used on Odysseus here is called Quick Thought. She can hop into people’s minds but normal time freezes for them, but the people never get a say in whether she is welcomed or not. That’s why, in My Goodbye, Odysseus says “This way, you’re out of my head now!” Also, you mentioned the piano. It’s Athena’s instrument. In ‘My Goodbye’, her and Odysseus’ instruments battle as they argue- the piano and electric guitar (emotional. Acoustic when calm). 9:33 that’s meant to symbolize how they grew closer : )

I'm glad you heard the harmony at the end, if you relisten to my goodbye, you'll see that Athena does the reverse where she does runs and towards the end she simply hold the note, for me it's a symbol of how their relationship is broken❤(genius music writing)

Spoiler if you havent watched the ithica saga I think the biggest thing for me was athenas arc of starting with close your heart to saying what if we didnt need to that? And odyessus saying i belive its possible and you can make the world like that but its not a world ill see, i thought it was so sweet.
