something tells me their next album will be hella heavy, perhaps "something wicked this way comes" is foreshadowing something literally wicked in their next album

That's what I thought too, hopefully the next album will be DARK and heavy like vessels :D

The layout of this song was very confusing to me at first, but after a few listens it's one of my favorites on horizons! Always great to hear Dustin screaming

Lol "I wanted more" is a pretty good summation of this song. The sound is so intriguing, and I think it really cements the tone of the whole album being more angry and haunting.

The first time I heard this song, I obviously transformed myself into a five-dimensional stardust creature, but when I heard the false chords I thought: "Kyle, Dustin finally heard your prayers about the false chords."

I like the eerie deathly silence at the end very chilling way to the end the album which I enjoyed, interestingly the symbol resembles a pentagram

Starset has always built their songs around the world they built (their is book Dustin wrote to loop them together) so every song has a reason behind its theme. Starset was introduced to me by my dad and I'm glad I've stuck around since transmission and can't wait to see more

Even on first listen this song pulled me in. The rest of the album was full of songs that took a couple listens but I’m starting to come around to some bangers like Icarus, Devolution, and Disappear(especially). Good reaction m8

I feel like this might be one of the best because it’s so different. The build was perfected and the tone it set was SO good. Also, a theory here, this could be connected to Bringing It Down. A lot of the lyrics match up.

I swear to you.. this had to be my top pick of the entire album of Horizons. Sorry I'm later than I usually am, CZYK! Been busy working and whatnot! But II have to tell you that this song had heavy foreshadow written in every note, from the echoey growl in the earlier part of the song to the eerie ending which gave me an intense pull to a darker aura. This reaction is my most favorite and your reactions probably always will be; you're honest as hell, your humor is tangible, and how hard out go with our reactions to parts of the songs you react to that get in touch with your deep soul. and DAMN you looked disappointed when the song ended. It has me rolling. Nonetheless, I hope you had an awesome Thanksgiving, and thank you for giving us your best and your most honest! Thank you for being here with us! Until next time, Kyle!

Good morning from Germany! Besides Otherworldly definitely my favorite song from that album, it's so haunting... I really like the build up in it! And yes, it's the Starset star upside down with a circle. Currently drawing this...

this song is one of my favorites albums it has deep meaning lyrically and very good progression. the one bad thing i gotta say about it the end shouldve been a little longer, but other than that i liked the song.

Loved your reaction! SW is one of my favorite tracks off Horizons. And idk how well versed you are in Starset lore, but this song really made me kinda scared for the whole rebel movement in the story. What if someone has infiltrated them? What if the entire plan goes wrong? What if they lose!! I'm SO excited to see where the lore is headed with the next album and book coming out.
@kadenlemon4953 жыл бұрын
This is one of the better ones off the album. Also you know how an American flag upside down represents the country in distress? I think that’s what that upside down star means. I’m also making a connection between this song and infected. In infected I imagine a revolution taking place. Then after infected this song plays. The protagonist returns to the site and feels guilt about what he has done.

Just a great song to end an album. It feels like when the song ends you are closing the last page of a book.

While I think Horizons was a little repetitive melodically, it improved a lot on the lyrics of Divisions. Besides songs like Diving Bell (which is a goddamn masterpiece), about a good third of it has godawful lyrics that sound like they were written by a 10 year old at times. It’s hard to explain, but it turned me off from a lot of it. Best way I can describe it is that it has a lot of “this is my fight song” moments. Horizons overall is very much back to the lyrical standard of the first two albums, which I’m happy about. It incorporates the lore without using too many cliche buzzwords haha. Yet again, Starset’s closing tracks are the absolute peak of what they can offer! Luckily, Something Wicked wasn’t spoiled by being made into a single like Diving Bell was, so its impact with respect to the rest of the album is cemented on that first listen like Everglow and Rise and Fall. Man, if only I had waited to listen to Diving Bell when Divisions released…
