44 is a 💀 related number in Korean. I feel like the people in the box represent conflicting sides of himself. They help him, but also they mock him, defy him, intrigue him. I feel like when they are in the box, that is him trying to sort them out. When they are outside the box, it is chaos in his mind and there is conflict. Woosung is a very deep minded person! Every time I watch 44, I see new things, feel new feelings! 🖤🥀

4 in sinokorean numbers is sa (사) but 사 also means the death. A lot of buildings don't have a 4th floor in Korea. In the elevator they skip this number and jump from 3 to 5. Or they use an F (four) instead of 4...

His album "4444" is mostly produced by him and Brian Lee, who features on the first song of the album under the name New Vaticans. On some tracks, other collaborators such as Wilkinson and Dojoon (from the band 🥰) have also contributed, among others. The track Forget Forever is stylized as 4get 4ever, and the number 4 + 4 = 8 symbolizes infinity (♾). This new album reflects the genres he's currently interested in. Lyrically, it's his most personal work, almost like a diary. To me, it's a masterpiece! You definitely should listen to the whole album.

@@melisvigue7950 I just finished watching an interview he did on Bibim-Pop (episode 13) here on KZbin. He said that 4 in Asian culture is an alarming number (it represents death), so he decided to let #4 speak. I found it interesting either way :)

At his concert in London he said that 4 in many Asian countries is linked to death and shunned, where he feels the number 4 is misunderstood and can actually be quite beautiful. Hence making it up to number 4 and naming the album 4444 (4*4) 😀 though i feel many of the songs can be linked to transition states, just like 4

woosung does write and produce and composed his own solo songs just like he does with the rose...woosung has stated for this album he wanted alot of EDM with this album. All the songs on the album is amazing but hands down this one is my favorite of the album.

So I think it's cool that he brought Korean Culture to the number 4 in this song. 4 means death and Forever doesn't exist because of death but are the two people in the song fighting to defeat that concept? Only Woosung will be able to define the meaning in this song but that is my take on it. I hope we hear that answer one day from him.
