Mark had stage 4 cancer couple yes ago and its what "reunited them". Tom reached out and was there for his friend. And slowly they got back together as a band ans this song is about that. Thats what makes this song hit in the feels.

The environments yes, but in Mando and other movies they are rear-projected onto LED screens. This was a green screen set, and there’s a few very well hidden cuts to disguise the lighting changes. But the change to the Up All Night background is in camera and I have no idea how they pulled that off
