Fun trivia, Sepultura (Pamela's got the correct pronunciation btw) are from the streets of Brazil and were so hard up for cash when they started out, they'd seen all the bands they looked up to wearing bullet belts, but they couldn't afford them so they collected spent batteries and made themselves fakes. They've got a real working class punk sensibility which really got into their music once they'd evolved past aping their idols.

Sepultura, at the time of production of this album, was taking advantage of influences of Brazilian popular music, which would culminate later in another album "Roots", from 1993. Both in the introduction and in the closing of this song, it has rhythmic influences of samba, very common in Rio carnivals.

Sepultura, She got the pronunciation right btw, is one of might all-time favs. You should do Desperate Cry off of Arise, which is the previous album to Chaos AD. Drummer Igor Cavalera goes Beast Mode on that song. Good luck with your journey. Wish you weren't hiding behind a pay wall but it is what it is. Just put them on YT after a while.

Sepultura, Venom and Slayer were some of the first bands that I ever listened to - I loved metal in my earlier years (age 10-12). I still love Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Testament, Ozzy and Dio, to name just a few. Lita Ford and Lee Aaron are good. I’m a big Skid Row fan - the most played of song 2020 - Quicksand Jesus.

Wow.. I mean simpleterra is freaking great and so much of their music still holds up. It's hard to believe this stuff was written like 30 years ago. But, I must say I'm super impressed that your lady has come so far so quickly. I mean if you're only ever really been Raised on Radio stuff and whatnot.. which is fine Sepultura is a huge leap from say iron maiden. Both bands being wonderful in their own separate arenas. I don't know. This song is actually okay, yet I don't think it's up to the energy level of Beneath the Remains and Arise albums (their best in my humble opinion). Machine Messiah is also pretty good with new drummer Eloy Casagrande bringing aggressive drumming to a whole new level and the band experiment with prog metal.

I saw them live in 1996 in Charlotte ( NC).....Right before Ozzy ( Retirement sucks tour)....What a night!! One fun episode which comes to my mind now....My friend wanted to buy an Ozzy T-shirt....so I told him that they sold those at the parking lot....So we went to the parking lot...and some guys had lots of Ozzy T-shirts in the trunk....So we asked if we could buy one...It turned out that the guys were policemen that confiscated illigeal T-shirts.
