you seem to be unaware that swords ranging in length from large dagger size to 2 or so feet are called, get this, "shortswords". crazy i know. also how "fat" a blade is has no bearing on whether or not its a sword. there have been plenty of swords with large bellies throughout history. Arguably any bladed instrument with an elongated blade and handle can be defined as a sword. Its an extremely murky and gray area.@@TheMattC9999

I am not ranger. In my city life perfect EDC blade is only 4cm long. The 58 mm Victorinox Signature Lite and the Leatherman Squirt PS4 blades is big enought. 😀

A folding Kukri. That's pretty cool. Great for chopping stuff. The front weighted blade and extra metal delivers powerful blows. One of the most dangerous knives/swords crafted in history.

I like that its called a Messer, but its much more like a Kukri. And yes i understand 'messer' use to mean knife historically and all that, but Messers typically have a similar shaped blade to each of them by modern standards with historical examples

My hunting knife was a buck 121 Alaskan Guide series. And I used it for everything in the woods. From branches to skinning. It's never let me down, s30v blade and its bos heat treated black. Great knife for the price

Swear something this big should just be a fixed blade. Not saying blades of this size do not have a niche. A folder is a fixed knife that is broken in a controlled manner for storage then reassembled. The lock pivot joining hardware may be tough as nails but are all failure points a solid piece such as a full tang does not have. In terms of scale the lock and hardware need to be more robust than most reasonable well built folders.

I’m all for cool folders as like art and for collecting purposes however ill never trust a mechanism. It’s fixed blade all day everyday now that being folders have a place but for me I’ll never leave the house with only a folder a pocket fixed blade or on the belt
