@tafua_a2 жыл бұрын
Not to mention, he made it clear that any response would be pointless with "the same records that you're making is paying me" and "Dre Day only meant Eazy's payday". At this point Dre was stuck between a rock and a hard place, as any diss that he put his name on would prove Eazy's point. Edit: the reason why I'm saying that is, Eazy-E managed to get Dre to agree to a contract that stated that until the original Ruthless contract expired, Dre could only jump ship to Death Row is part of his albums' sales went to Ruthless. So yeah, Eazy-E got some sweet dough out of Fuck Wit Dre Day.
@chubbychuckle6 жыл бұрын
I don't think they were mocking Dre. IMO that's just the sound of the West Coast. Dre wasn't a real street dude. The pics were probably from the mid to late 80s from when he did more pop music/dance music. And Easy killed this track. Way better than Dre Day to me because it had facts.
@chubbychuckle6 жыл бұрын
All Star 1 fact lol. The rest was just talk. Eazy talked about him faking for the music, how he used to be a dancer, how Suge was doing him and others dirty at death row, and the Dre was abusing women.
@chubbychuckle6 жыл бұрын
@DJ Fair but there is a difference between doing it and rapping about it. The majority of things rappers rap about they shouldn't do and many don't. You are probably right about it still being hypocritical though.
@arpegio882 жыл бұрын
I really enjoyed this reaction vid lol! Just a few things that you needed cleared up: First, In reference to 9:47, Dre and Snoop are talking about Luther Campbell aka Luke or sometimes known as "Uncle Luke" from Miami based rap group "2 Live crew." The genesis of that beef is based around a comment that Luke had made in a magazine about Dre and Death Row sometime in late 1992 which is why he's marginally mentioned on this track along with Eazy. They mentioned the gap in his teeth because in those days and even now, Luke has a very pronounced and noticeable gap in both the top and bottom set of his teeth. Also, Luke and 2 Live crew were famous for rocking bomber style jackets, hints what the character had on in the video. In reference to 14:32, YES that is a legit pic of Dr. Dre in the very beginning phase of his career during his time with R&B group "World class wreckin' crew." Back in the early 80's, Dre was the mix master spinning records for them in the background. Finally in reference to 19:59, that particular lyric is based around Suge Knight's treatment of his underlings and business associates, as it's now public knowledge that violence broke out on damn near a daily basis at Death Row due to Suge's inability to separate his street mentality from his blooming business sense at that time. Now in 2022, Death Row as a property has been acquired by Snoop as of February.

I've suspected for years that Dre has had a hand in keeping this Eazy record out of print. It addresses two points that he does not want addressed, his exaggerated street cred and his violence to women. Both were conspicuously absent from the Straight Outta Compton movie. And I like that movie, but it does Eazy dirty. E was not going around crying because Dre made The Chronic, like they show in the movie. E was making money off The Chronic, because he still had Dre under contract at Ruthless, and he was also clapping back HARD with tracks like this one. Dre wants everyone to forget that, and think Eazy died envying him.

Eazy e knew how dre was getting treated by suge and them Way before anyone else talked about it

I never listened to much Eazy, but I did listen to a lot of Bone Thugs N Harmony, your follower might know better then I do, but I believe Eazy discovered them/helped them get started. Besides 2pac(my favorite), you had Eazy and Bone Thugs, Dre, Snoop and later Eminem--what an awesome time to era or rap, top notch stuff. Geez everyone’s suggesting really good music, I like your chats style.

Onetime 4-Real they were supposedly doing song together for Eazys double album but Eazy passed before that could happen

@Onetime 4-Real He never thought of signin' him and I can't really picture that, they just don't match, no one fits as a component to him than Dre, same style music, leaders of their record labels, came out of Compton and grew up with eachother, as Eazy bein' the original Hip-Hop thugsta and Dre the marijuana G-funk master, that would blend well

I’m just a couple minutes into this video. The host doesn’t seem to know much. Some of what he’s saying is not even true. Note: the manager is supposed to be Jerry Heller. Snoop’s introduction was on the Deep Cover single. Dr. Dre had been doing music production for some time before this song.
