Hearing metal vocalists while recording in the studio gives me encouragement. It sounds one way isolated, but totally bigger when mixed with the rest of the band!

It tripped me out after downloading multi tracks from nail the mix. hearing Zenith Passage vocalist solo.. His highs are like..not good, but sound great in the mix. I'm glad i didnt know this when i learned how years ago, cause id get it as close to the final mix as i could with power and the natural distortion.. I probably wouldnt have tried as hard beyond the doing it comfortably part.

I love the way Travis thinks outside the box when it comes to getting some interesting new vocal delivery/sound. In the Monolith studio videos we saw him spread out his dirty laundry on the floor and capture the sound as he noisily spat water onto the clothes. Now he folds himself up to constrict the airway and squish the larynx (I imagine). Respect, Sir. You always do unique work. And more importantly, uniquely dope work.

Loving these videos, they sounded incredible here in Brisbane last month, cannot wait for them to come back! I was hoping they might play Solastalgia - or even more of a stretch Just another Body (hopefully there will be a making of video for that - and hopefully a full length "Making of Terrasite" video!). My hypothesis that all the cool guitar ideas were shut down on this album, and death atlas are obviously true. Last 2 albums just don't have much identity guitar wise like the previous records did. Really big lack of memorable musical passages due to the reliance the same motifs over and over.
