Haven't listened to this song and the album for a couple of years but I still remember the riffs from this song. Always great stuff from this band. I have been listening to the newer stuff more and Corpsegrinder solo album recently. Decided to go back to the old stuff again. However I don't think they ever did a bad album and that's what I like about Cannibal Corpse, still going strong.

All these years later, but I don't think it's really been surpassed by newer forms of death/extreme metal. Most of the newer stuff I've heard since the early 2000's just sounds cheesier in comparison, like it's "trying too hard" or something. It just doesn't come across as being quite as authentic...for me anyway. But everyone is open to their own opinions. I don't think my opinion is the shining unquestionable gold standard or something, it's just my opinion, that's all. That's what life in general, and also music, is all about basically...it's all up to YOU, the eye of the beholder, to decide what's good and what's not. But with that said, I won't be afraid to say that for me this is *_real_* death metal...I can just REALLY feel it. I think all the old school genres of metal were mostly done best by the first wave of bands in any given genre.
