"Solastalgia is a term coined by Australian philosopher Glenn Albrecht in 2003. It describes a form of emotional or existential distress that is experienced by individuals when they witness the negative environmental changes in their home or familiar surroundings. Unlike traditional forms of nostalgia, which involve a longing for a specific time or place from the past, solastalgia is about the distress caused by the degradation of one's environment in the present. Solastalgia is often associated with the impact of environmental changes, such as deforestation, climate change, or industrial development, on a person's sense of place and well-being. It can manifest as a feeling of powerlessness, grief, and a sense of loss as the landscape or environment that once provided comfort and familiarity is altered or destroyed. It's closely linked to the broader field of ecopsychology, which explores the relationship between human psychology and the natural environment. In essence, solastalgia highlights the psychological and emotional toll that environmental degradation and change can have on individuals, especially when these changes are occurring in the places they call home. It serves as a reminder of the intricate connection between the environment and human well-being."

Cattle Decap has been a core band in my musical travels ever since discovering metal over 20 years ago. I was introduced with 'Regret and The Grave' and was enamoured by their emotion and power in their music. Through Harvest Floor, Monolith, Anthropocene Extinction, Death Atlas and now Terrasite, along with many live shows, I always loved seeing their amazing development and effort they put into their music. Every single time I thought they made the perfect verse, song, album, they kill it with the next. I hope we get to enjoy Cattle Decap for many years to come, as it is one of the few bright spots in an ever spiraling world.

I really would like to thank my cousin for putting me on with this Band. He showed me Death Atlas Album, Death Atlas being one of the first songs. At first I thought it wasn’t gonna stick with me cause I’m so used to like Alternative Rock, Heavy Metal 🤘🏼, R&B, (Breaking Benjamin, Metallica, Drake, John Legend) The build up and then the Hit of the Song Mid way through it was just an instant classic and hit. I checked out another few songs like Time’s Cruel Curtain, The Geocide, those just made me more hooked. When Terrasite Album released the first song was Scourge of the Offspring I honestly don’t know how many times we listened to it but lol it was around 12pm at night blasting it on the JBL SPEAKER. Man I tell you the bass, the guitar solo, I’d say the last min and thirty of the song was just brutal and so intense. Then the album released and my absolute top 3 favorite songs were Solastagia- 💥💥💥 A Photic Doom - 🔥 Scourge of the Offspring- 🔥💥 Solastagia is a song that is just incredible and intense. It has that powerful melody and just from start to finish it brings the meaning of Holy Shit. Loved the bass part like around 1:45 that part is just 😳😳😳 and then 2:36 is 🔥🔥😭😭 just elegant and brutal at the same time and it builds up to 3:55 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥THE END OF HOPE, LAMENT TOGETHER, DESPAIR FOREVER, LOSE OUR MINDS! Thanks Again brother @sinisterspawn this really helps with my mental state and brings me to just in my own world and makes me feel intense. Sounds pretty corny but this type of music helps people that’s gone through some rough shit and I’d tell you it just connects.
