Dude wasn't using auto tune or any of that bullshit on his voice. And the production is totally raw. How it should be. Not the overproduced shit we hear now. I'll always love Arch...no matter how many people rip on him. Pure talent and unique.

Arch will always be my favorite! His ability to control where he wants his voice to go during a composition,plus his harmonies,to me,will never be matched! The mans voice just speaks to me.

When the stars are right, and you're alone Take a journey, lock the world tight Out of your mind The hall beckons your presence, the doors Open wide you're to decide to turn back. Deep the bowels of this black abyss Compelled I just can't resist it, take me [Chorus:] Take me away take me away I want to know what's deep within Take me away Drawing near someone passes through me A silent entity never looking back I won't dare Evil eyes staring through the walls of stone As I feared I travel not alone Laughter echoes with the blatant wind I have passed the threshold deep within me [Repeat Chorus] A voice of thunder said turn back Tabernacle is forbidden No mortal dares to enter here I want to know Flame is burning, center of a fountain yearning, water Spring eternal, spiritual water physical fire Above center is sky, cold cold neverness Just vastness filled with stars upon stars In the four corners of life are the golden mirrors Reflecting what you are and what you are to be In the first is a young boy white dove in His hand, in the second is a warrior in armor, In the third is the old man, gold watch In his hand, fourth and last No reflection at all No reflection at all No reflection at all Waters rise towards physical fire, voice says Tabernacle is forbidden never looking back, I won't dare If the water touches the flame Forever in darkness yes I'll remain White dove flies from the young boys hand Through the mirror of the old man, only way out [Repeat Chorus]

Don’t know why the knock on arch’s vocals he was better then most of the trash coming out at the time for vocals. Atleast he sounded real and had balls. While I love queensryche malice ect they had cheese to them arch has more of a fuck you sound and I love it

I think Arch is, 1. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, or 2. Arch is an aquired taste. First time I heard Arch was when I bought Awaken the Guardian. On first listen, I had an almost WTF is this violent reaction. ....Then, I listened to the whole album two more times, and by then I was a lifelong fan.

I agree with some comments Prog Rock, well more Prog Metal, but the vocals are not the greatest but the riffs make up for the vocals. Alright song not the best, but still Prog Rock / Prog Metal is the genre.
@JeyKey-bc3yo6 ай бұрын
It takes a lot of time to get used to the vocals, they are the most progressive aspect of the early fates warning albums. I know that in the beginning his melodies just sound like a random collection of notes, but after some time you start to "get" his vocal style, and eventually you will like it. He is one of the best singers out of this period, in my opinion
