Untold - Also know as: "I can make a documentary in the style of the BBC, too". Beautiful camera work. Great editing. A miniature visual masterpiece.

I like these and I think they great pieces. The other short and the doc that I bought through the crowdfunding have been great. Hopefully people are getting these for what they are, not fluff pieces. Also the camera work/cinematography is really strong and really artistic. Looks like you guys shoot a lot of coverage.

8:26 as someone with a bachelor's degree and 5 years working at a desk job, i HIGHLY disagree with this statement. i only got to local band status played like 33 shows, a few of them were out of town, but i always craved that shit. touring and performing for fans that love your music every night would be amazing. some metal heads didn't make it big and had to get boring adult jobs, but don't discount that we wouldnt die for that opportunity! i think if you took a random dude from college that didnt have a passion for music then sure, they wouldnt make it, but otherwise, you're living the dream we never got to!

What he's trying to say is that it's easy for people to look at what they do from an outside perspective and think that they are "living the life" being in a band and touring when it's really the shit that you don't see that isn't really talked about and/or glamourized that most people don't actually realize until they're actually dealing with it face on. Like no one ever told me how to deal with not showering for weeks at a time while all being stuck in a van with each other, or having to sleep in parking lots so your equipment isn't stolen again, or promoters not showing up or paying you what you're owed, or having the van break down due to engine problems or a blowout, or having to deal with other members bitchy gf's, not knowing where you're going to sleep that night, or having shows cancelled and not knowing until you're there, or getting fucked with and/or arrested by some cops in some podunk town in the middle of nowhere, etc. You get my point. It's very easy for someone to go to a show for one night out of the week and see a band and think "I wish that was me. Life would be so much better if I could do that" when in reality those guys have no break. They aren't getting to go home, clean up and sleep in a nice warm bed like you. They probably don't even know where they are staying that night let alone even having enough money to eat. They are literally just non-stop going in sometimes pretty gruelling conditions. That's what I think he meant by saying your average college student wouldn't be able to do it as they aren't used to the lifestyle.

No doubt man. Can't say I dug that new song too much. I hope the rest of the album kicks as much ass as the self-titled album did. really wish they would head more in that direction because the songs on that album are off the fucking hook.Make it Bleed is one of my favorites.

My god these documentaries are heavy... that doesn't even seem to fit with the vibe of the band... Get loose, joke a little, let's not take metal too seriously, check out Jason Suecof and how he makes fun of metal, yet is able to enjoy it
@ovimpendingdoom86049 жыл бұрын
+Charles Petitclerc Frankly,in my opinion these documentaries are far from "Metal", they talk about hardships,dreams and doing something people in a "cubicle" wont experience ever.These kind of docs, are providing a hindsight of life and how they manage with a job, that isn't providing a steady income.
@charlespetitclerc12569 жыл бұрын
+Ovimpendingdoom I get that, believe me, but it's kind of a really dark way of putting it... If they would talk about this subject with a bit of humor instead of huge drama, it would feel a lot less heavy... but hey, that's maybe because I'm not taking metal seriously enough! ;)
@ovimpendingdoom86049 жыл бұрын
Yes i agree, sometimes humour could lighten up the whole situation.But as you said its bcs i take metal seriously :) so probably thats why.Have a great day!
@charlespetitclerc12569 жыл бұрын
+Ovimpendingdoom You too, man! hope this new record is gonna be great!
@JayWhiteNM9 жыл бұрын
+Charles Petitclerc Metal is as metal does. I don't believe this was meant to be a "metal documentary", but a human story. The men behind the music. Their views. The metal is in their music itself. That's just my take.
