Your number one is KISS’s best song that nobody (other than real KISS fans) knows about. I thought “The Oath” would make the list. The best bass line of any KISS song has to be “Torpedo Girl” off Unmasked.

KISS was like the advent of electricity. They changed everything. Afterwards, lots of bands attempted to emulate them. With no internet, they still exploded. There's no parallel example nowadays, it was a phenomenon. The only thing they weren't on was Sesame Street!

It is axiomatically true that rock and roll literally would not be what it is today had KISS not came along and pushed the envelope. I’m serious. Remove KISS from history and an alarming chunk of modern rock and metal groups wouldn’t exist.

The "Sound" of Kiss guitars! Listening to alive years later and it's the sound of their unfiltered raw distortion that lights up the room.⚡. Marshall amps turned to 10 in contrast to the softer sound textures of the times. I feel like it was the sound of the electricity in their riffs itself that inspired them to look like that raw electricity and cosmic phenomenon. People focus on their looks, but it was the sheer brilliance of the sound! Ace has an approach to guitar solos that blows your mind! Paul Stanley's solo album was my first record in 1979. His voice is the soul of rock and roll for Me! Glad I saw them in 2014, perfect! Gene on Bass and Peter on Drums, that's the real thrill, the 1977 concert film , that's the look! 🤩

Bro, I'm from wagon-wheel, boot-scootin, podunk HEE-HAW LAND!(Nashville)😅 Am 51, & proud to say, I actually fell in love with Kiss' music before really seeing them in late '70's! Had gotten into my mom's Beatles collection, which unfortunately abruptly ended with Help!, since got married & had my older sis. My dad knew I liked them & came home 1 day & said he had somebody give him an 8-Track at work, he listened to it on way home, didn't like, said I could have & handed me a copy of Love Gun. So I of course saw the cover, but just thought was cool album art. The heaviest thing I'd ever heard at that point was the song Help!. So when popped in 8-Track, I Stole Your Love was like hearing Slayer Reign In Blood when came out! It's a trip to think I would've been 6 yro, but had to be when came out, cause remember getting parents to buy me Dynasty when came out & wanted to go see them, but folks said was sold-out. Peter was my fave at time & I remember when announced in paper had the pic with monkey heads on his shouders. I'm sure it sold-out, but I tend to think they just told me that cause didn't wanna take me. Clips from Sunday newspaper should still be in the attic somewhere? Should also be clips, which prob be worth some money (actually may very well be archived on-line from The Tennessean these days?), when finally got to see them the 1st time Creatures tour '83 announcing the Sunday before show that Ace had left the band & been replaced by a one, "Vinnie Whiz"! Rock On, hillbilly mofos! 🤟😝❤

People avoid I Stole Your Love as it's an 'interpretation' of the Burn 🔥 riff by virtuoso Deep Purple & Rainbow guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. I love them both. Burn by Blackmore is considered THE best ever rocknrroll riff. Check out the live version at the '74 California Jam. Masterpiece! 👌

Those are some killer riffs no doubt. The song that hooked me was black diamond, from the clean Intro to when the distorted guitar kicks in. I remember ad a kid taking g guitar lessons I was about 7 and on like my 3ed lesson I told my teacher I need to be able to play this song, and he showed my the opening the first week and I practised till my fingers could hardly move, then the following lesson he showed me the first heavy riff. I still play the hell out of that song.

Always been a huge kiss fan. I've been to 10 kiss concerts and my last ones were the reunion tour and the farewell tour. And as far as ever going to the end of the road tour that is not going to happen only if Ace and Peter were there. I'm sure Peter don't have it like it used to because he is getting old to keep up on the drums but I'm sure he would give it one hell of a try. I started listening to kiss when I was 16 and 61 now and still jamming with kiss.

KISS made such an impact on music in the 1970’s. Kids like me were overwhelmed by their catchy hooks and that explosive in your face attitude. They lost that edge when they lost Ace and Peter. After that….. they became just another band. The 1996 reunion reinvigorated them and they became the kings again. After that….. they became their own tribute band.

Us old farts grew up with great music great guitar players, I remember getting KISS Alive brought it home put it on those cheap record players, frighten my parents to death they thought i sold my soul to the devil lol, KISS was a machine for the first part of the 70's unfortunately success and all it's trappings took ACE and Peter down the dark rabbit hole, I took up learning the guitar a few years ago, when you hear ACE having no formal music training he just had a good ear he knew the chord tones that's a gift, and where would some of today's best guitar players be without ACE , I'm 56 still listening to KISS , seen them on the Creatures Lickup Asylum Revenge and Psycho Circus which was a dream for me to see and hear the original band though, but hearing ACE live man terrific memory , you listen to the old KISS records today that's rock and roll , the 70's where a time of long songs , lots of technical playing but KISS where straight up rock and roll, plug the Les Paul into the Marshals and crank it, I do have a Les Paul Style guitar by a company here in the UK called Vintage it has the Wilkinson designed PAF voice buckers they really get that tone, I would love a Les Paul but not the newer ones its the older Les Paul's that have that special sound and well they're not cheap , great playing bud, I'm originally from Toronto now living in the UK but I have sub to your channel . What do you think the newer ACE material I love it, I would love ACE to play a few gigs here in England I would definitely get tickets and the guitar players play Vintage brand guitars , had throw that it , anyway great stuff , cheers !!
