How beautiful are these wooods, with that pre historic look. That mini dinosaur of a boar did some fantastic damage to the ground, revealing a magnificent souvenir. The rings too. Great work. X

Hello Francesca, this was proper forest, I enjoy this type of terrain. Once could say, I was lucky the boar wasn't home... but I think he knew that I was coming and I see the ring as a gift (from one detectorist to another). 😄 Have a great week! 👍

Hallo Andreas, vielen herzlichen Dank! Es war in der Tat eine tolle "Location", so stelle ich mir richtigen Wald vor. Leider ist es von Wanderwegen umgeben... Das war deshalb schon das "Maximum". Ein weiterer Besuch lohnt sich meiner Meinung nach leider nicht mehr. Es gibt aber noch bestimmt ein paar andere, tolle Plätze, leider spielt das Wetter aktuell nicht mit. 😀 Beste Grüße!👍

Yes indeed, up to this day it's each time surprising and often surreal to be confronted with history in such way. I look at relics for what they are, but of course they influence my thought process and perception of a place. Therefore showing them is important. Have a great day! Greetings to Oz!

Have you done a specific video for ground balancing ?

I don't think so, not with the DEUS. I will try to implement it in the future, but I can't promise anything. Right now I'm not paying much of attention to ground balance. I use the manual function at the beginning. When I feel that the ground is "too quiet", I decrease the value a bit. When it gets too noisy, it's the other way around. Sometimes I don't even set anything at all and hunt with the last value (that is set to "81"). But this could be area specific. Have a great day!

Nice hunt. The small musketballs are I believe, buck shot from a shotgun. The 000 shells I have have eight pellets per 12 gauge shotgun shell. I’m guessing someone was out hunting boar with proper load.
