Mind Fuzz…first 4 songs in 1 reaction is required. Paper Mache if you’re ready for all acoustic. Changes if you’re ready for another musical theme.

Yeah, Fishing for Fishies is a recent album from 2019. They have only released 10 studio albums after it 😂 Can't wait for Cyboogie and it's music video! If you do Mind Fuzz try to make the first 4 songs together because they are a suite. If that's not possible due to copyright, do at least track 1 and 2 together, because track 2 is a kind of an interlude/transition
@LaDarko6 ай бұрын
Coming off of fishing for fishies, I wouldn’t recommend paper mache, it’d be good to get some contrast between records and though fishing and paper arent sonically the same, they are on the softer side of the Gizz spectrum. I’m in your mind fuzz would be great, but for a total 180, I’d recommend made in Timeland. Just keep in mind it’s meant to be transitional music made for the intermission of their 3 hour marathon shows. They’re meant to keep the ball rolling. Pick what feels right though, any pick is going to be a fun time.

Acarine is one of my favorite King Gizzard tracks because of its atmosphere alone. Its such a unique feeling this song gives off and i wish there was more like it

If you listen to I'm in your mind fuzz you can't do the first 4 songs individually you have to do them all sequentially as a single reaction
@Kablistikai6 ай бұрын
such a weird but awesome song, i absolutely love the context of this one within the album. This Thing starts with their pretty classy fishing for fishies groovy rock sound but ends with a more experimental psych jam to it, then getting into Acarine it just continues on that experiment side getting more and more synthy, then perfectly transitioning into Cyboogie god it’s so good

I still stick by my gumboot request! It has a little bit of everything! Even some microtonal stuff, and some of what would be considered their early attempts at heavy metal. But whatever you do next is going to be great.

It was so cool seeing this live, shame they only did the first half. You're gonna love Cyboogie, and I know you're gonna love the video (I KNEW IT DAMMIT!) Cyboogie is probably my favourite album closer they've done, it's another "can't sit still" one! Aw the best with the tooth removal!

"Acarine" reminds me most of "Polygondwanaland" with its tempo, atmosphere and sound. It doesn't really matter which album this great song is on. The second part of "Fishing For Fishes" is much better, surprising with great compositions and original ideas. I like this album more and more.

I think I’m in your mind fuzz is the logical next step - and the end of mind fuzz will be a good transition into paper mache I believe

Acarine gives off timeland vibes near the end, one of the main reasons I like it so much. I can’t wait for you to hear paper mache dream balloon, it’s so groovy

I'm in your mind fuzz, Paper mache dream balloon, or laminated denim any gizz record honestly. Should dive into their older stuff "Teenage Gizzard, Willoughby's beach, 12 bar bruise, or Float along fill your lungs" I think you'd like all of them

So this album and rats nest is why Petro and silver cord exist. Petro ends kinda like fishing for fishies and silver cord continues this synth trend. All four albums work amazing together

One of my favorite tracks on the album. I think this was their first dive into straight-up electronic music, which might've prompted Joey to start making some solo electronic stuff under the name Bullant, which I'll start listening to sometime this year. Glad you liked the track (I knew it, dammit!) Next up is Cyboogie, which was actually the 1st single for the album I'm pretty sure. Its a fun little track, I think you'll like it! For the next album, between Paper Mache Dream Balloon and I'm In Your Mind Fuzz, my vote goes to Paper Mache Dream Balloon. Its an all-acoustic album, exclusing some of the bass parts. Any acoustic instrument they could find, they used. I'd recommend doing a studio vs live for the opening track Sense.

if you like this song you should listen to all of Butterfly 3000 👀 both have really creative uses of electronics combined with acoustic instruments (as opposed to silver cord being strictly electronic stuff). i know you gravitate towards heavier stuff- and it still has its heavy moments- but it's more ethereal and spacey than "happy" so it might get a pass (still pretty upbeat stuff tho lol) also i knew it dammit
