"Shabadabadia babababa" doesn't mean anything, it's the scat element of the song.Scat: jazz singing with nonsense syllables. The band has a life of 30+ years but this song is what made them known to people outside of Japan. "At The Mountains of Madness" is a song where you'll see Shinji Wajima, the quitarist, play a strange instrument. kzbin.info/www/bejne/epi3dn6ljs10jsk

17:30 The "Shabadabadia" thing is just scat singing, as in the title, AFAIK :) The hairbrush pick instrument you were trying to remember is probably the shamisen.

If you're into prog, check out their cover of King Crimson's '21st Century Schizoid Man' from their early days (early 90s, I think). Probably the best cover I have heard of that prog rock classic, made even more impressive by them being only a three-piece.

Like a month ago I had shown Dragon by King Gizzard to my mom and she showed me this in return and I have no idea where my 54YO mom found this band

Hi!!!The guitarist uses the ancient image of a Japanese professor, the bass guitarist uses the image of a Buddhist monk touched by death, the drummer in the image of a Yakuza.

The guitarist Shinji Wajima has his own KZbin channel, which was linked to the graphic you noticed. If you like motorcycles and camping you will find it interesting. His style is often referred to as Tsugaru Shamisen guitar, so good connection with what I assume is the shamisen playing from Wagakki Band. They have a new album coming out next month, their 23rd.

Great Reaction! Checkout thier song Namahage! Also, if your into gear Wajima-san does a great break down of his pedal board (with english sub-titles). Looks like he designs some of his pedals. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYe8gIWDrKitg9U

having heard this many times I laughed a bit when you said it wasn't complicated or techy. It almost made me want to skip to the solos.
