If you want something more official to watch before the chapters, you'll want to see the Papaganda videos. They were filmed during the Papa II era, giving an inside look at the life of the Antipope. (Mostly partying with groupies in Vegas.) Tobias is a surprisingly good actor. The chapters themselves are more about the rise of Cardinal Copia as the new frontman, after Papa III was dragged offstage by "Church security" at a show in Sweden, and they also give a look into the history of the band. Weird and funny. Oh, and you might want to watch the Shining, if you haven't already seen it. Tobias loves to reference old horror movies in *everything.*

This was before he modified the Papa IV mask so he had more jaw movement because he felt it was confining his vocal range.. He also modified the facepaint and removed the mustache to what it is now. When you get to the chapters and there's a one off where Papa and Sister are on a vid call about plastic surgery, that's the new mask with the lantern jaw.

Copia had a mustache and when he was first elevated, the mustache was kept. He did this, some other little stuff and then I can't remember what came first, the Hunters Moon video or the plastic surgery chapter, but that was when the new look sans mustache, a prominent jaw, and slightly different facepaint premiered.

‘If you have ghosts’ is the most important and best Ghost cover. It’s incredible and an amazing song if you haven’t heard the original. I think it’s a quintissential ghost song. Here comes the sun is awesome. Don’t love any other Ghost covers all that much but those two rock So glad you’re still soin Ghost after finishing Impera!

as far as lore videos go, ghost has pretty much everything on their channel! the papaganda videos for papa II are in the playlist section, then theres all the summoning videos on the main channel for meliora and papa III (although they might be more like promo for the album than lore), followed by the ongoing chapters that introduces some new blood😊

Regarding Enter Sandman you have two options: 1. Live version where he plays with Candlemass, Vargas & Lagola. (I don't know those last two?) This was a special event for Metallica with them there in person (Metallica are confirmed fans of Ghost, btw.) 2. The all Ghost version that done for the The Metallica Blacklist. This is a studio recording. If I were to recommend one.... I'd go option #2. They both sound pretty similar, but the actual audio quality is certainly better on #2 with the whole studio setup rather than live. Plus the stage setup in #1 isn't as good as it was in the Sympathy for the Devil video, so sacrificing audio quality isn't quite worth it in my eyes. Do the studio version from The Metallica Blacklist

The Hellacopters is probably my favourite rock band of the last 25 years or so. Nicke Andersson, who is the vocalist and guitarist was, as most metalheads will know, the drummer (and main songwriter) in Entombed.

Just as Johan Häggman sais, it´s from the Swedish quiz show På Spåret which means “On the Tracks (railway) or On the Road” in english. In this part of the show the theme was Prague and before this performance the competitors where asked something like this (from my memory when I watched it): “The song you are about to hear is inspired by a novel by this author (the host shows a picture of Michail Bulgakov and right away I knew the song was gonna be Sympathy for the Devil), we want to know “Which band wrote and recorded this song? And listen very closely at the end… you will hear the tune of a Christmas song, we want to know the title of this Christmas song… On stage, please welcome The Hellacopters featuring Papa Emeritus!”” PS. The “svt” up in the right corner is the logo of Sveriges Television - translated Swedish Television (Swedens first ever, and still going, tv-channel)

Yeah, I think this was done around the holidays, hence the Carol of the Bells ending. I really enjoy this rendition. Subdued up front, intense at the end, the build up to it is fun for me. Regarding the mix, I think it's tough to ask for too much perfection on a one-time live performance, haha I'm not sure why someone would suggest NOT checking out MCC. I really love the vibe they bring. Totally understand the 'oversaturation' thing of course. But if you only check out one related band, MCC I think is worthwhile as standing up on their own, even without the Ghost affiliation.

If You Have Ghosts is a must listen to cover. I would even recommend going and listening to the original from Roky Erickson as well. Every music fan should make themselves familiar with his album The Evil One that the song is off of.

Don't know if you saw this, but this guy managed to record an entire Ghost setlist in 4k with a pretty darn good sound for a phone or whatever. I'm pretty sure he used some sort of external mics though, cause I'm not hearing that typical brickwall limiting. Hands down, the best recording of a Ghost concert I've seen here on youtube. Nicely put together as well. Great show, great sound mixing and man, what a great light show! I have another band suggestion for you: Threshold. They are a very skilled and great sounding band. They combine heavy riffs with melodic, harmonic guitar sounds and I absolutely love them. I bet you'll enjoy their music too. My top 5 Songs are: Virtual Isolation, Pressure, Coda, Ground Control and Somatography. Pls react to them, I would really appreciate it🤗👍

No worries, glad to help! I love when he gets some grit in his voice which is something he doesn't do a whole lot. I would love to see him put some more grit into his vocals - not all the time, but it would be a nice treat. I believe this was for a game show or something, which would probably explain the subpar mix. His cover of Enter Sandman probably goes a little safe in the latter half, but the first half is definitely different. I feel like the older covers are probably better, but Avalanche (by Leonard Cohen) from the Prequelle era is pretty good. If you want to see a killer cover from another band, Disturbed's cover of Sound of Silence is phenomenal. I would actually recommend the live version over the music video, though both are great. I'll try to find the Enter Sandman cover and drop a link later.

Interesting thoughts! I gotta agree, while I think it’s a really good cover, it’s not the most special in the world. I do still have a fondness for it lol, the part where he finally puts his all in just gets to me If you are looking to get more into the covers, my personal favorites are I’m a Marionette (original by ABBA), Nocturnal Me (original by Echo and the Bunnymen), Avalanche (original by Leonard Cohen), and obviously Enter Sandman. For that one I personally think you would prefer to listen to the studio version of it on here and look any live performances on your own time due to audio quality but hey if you can find any that really work then go for it. If you want to take a break from Ghost you’re more than welcome to, the number one priority should be your enjoyment of the content and if you need to take a breather to do that then that’s something you should do- it’s not like the music’s going anywhere -but if you’re having fun as is looking at Ghost alongside other bands then I say just keep going. know I’ve been having fun hearing your thoughts on each of the songs!

I would recommend you to see the second ever show before you go to the chapters. Just to understand the long journey Tobias has been on. You will find that easily here on KZbin. The first ever show was a little bit of a disaster but i think that there is some video of that too if you really search. The second gig is anyhow much better and the crowd is really getting into the vibe to say at least. The show is from Camden England.

To answer your question, no there really isn't anything you MUST watch before the chapter videos. I know they did something similar during the Infestissumam era called Papaganda, but those are a separate thing and I don't think you need to watch those to understand the chapters. However, you can if you'd like, just a little bit more Ghost entertainment. In regards to fx Lauren, I also don't think you need to watch that. In fact, Ghost has a similar thing with their video Metal Myths: Ghost Part 2 which I know several others have also mentioned. Now that is definitely a must watch. So yeah, between the chapter videos and their covers you have plenty Ghost entertainment here. Just depends how you want to do it. You reminded me that I should maybe also leave a link to my MCC recommendation in the Respite video so I'll go do that now. As always, peace and love man 🤘

If you don’t wanna oversaturate on Ghost I’d recommend doing a few chapters at a time for each video. The chapters are pretty brief, and there’s not that much to them. They’re pretty cheesy and just little jokes to promote upcoming tours and releases really. The lore isnt that deep. But it’s be cool to see you do like 5 chapters per vid. Then you could do the lot in 3 videos. Really psyched to see you do ‘if you have ghosts’ though.

U should listen to Hellacopters alone instead, Way better than this garbage. Listen to crimson Ballroom/pride/hopeless kid in denial and even carry me home/by the grace of god and soulseller. When you do, Lean back, Crack a beer and really listen to the tunes and lyrics and you will understand that this band is one of the greatest rock n roll bands in history but they've been slept on. Of this bamd came out at the same time as acdc they would be just as big no doubt.

Sorry not for me - some covers just don’t work unless they are as close to the original as possible - the vocal needed to be driving from the start, it needs to driven rhythmically by the bass riff and the piano less busy and pushed back into the mix.
