The lyrics written by the vocalist are not just any lyrics, she takes references from books she reads, one of the words in this song she take from the words of Tan Malaka, one of Indonesia's national heroes. on their youtube channel, they once made a vlog of how they make a song. They are still young, but they believe, good music and good songs cannot be made instantly, must go through a process, must be played over and over again, hundreds of times thousands of times to improvise "School revolution" to become what they are today took more than 3 years. and all the songs they played in France in 2021, they have re-arranged, and I think for the better

Hey Jacob, completely agree about the vocals on this song and about Marsya's obviously higher comfort level with Sundanese versus English (but I think her accent/inflection/cadence when she speaks/sings English is really cool and adds a distinct and appealing flavor). The "unprocessed" versions of this song I've heard were certainly rawer and not perfect, but conveyed more emotion and passion, which, to me, is what VOB is all about. I don't think this version is bad by any means, just different, and I'm all for trying to get VOB out to as wide an audience as possible. You skipped the live version from their Trans Musicales show in France (I think you were scared of the hijab speech, which comes right before it :) ), but it's good quality audio and worth a listen for a comparison. @@fikryhasan5225 Apologies for the mistake. I am just starting to learn more about Indonesia (being so inspired by VOB!) and welcome your input. From what I have read so far, I thought that Bahasa Indonesia, even though it was the official language, wasn't that widely used outside of formal/academic situations, and most people primarily used their local language (Javanese, Sundanese, etc). Since VOB are from West Java, and most references to them that I've seen indicate that they are using Sundanese language, I made an assumption. Thank you for the correction. I hope that there are others out there like me that have also been inspired by VOB to learn more about Indonesia too! "What I long, is a peaceful world of colors."

PMS aransemen terbaik vob dengan besutan musik lokal dengan lick kental dari rock heavy metal progresivenya jamrud dan power metal.... sebagai referinsi musiknya... emang vob tungku jenius dan bener2 jenius... lulus SMA tapi bermusiknya punya tersusun rapi seperti susunan sebuah karya ilmiah yang gak ngawur dan punya referensi yang real... padahal kolab sama jamrud cuma 1 season aja.... gua gak bisa mikir otak vob bisa sambil dengar karakter musik mereka dan langsung dituangin dalam lagu....

Agree with your insight on the vocals that live they arent as perfect. However I've seen a few metal singers struggle with being in tune if the mix isnt right and the vocals are too low. I have no doubt she can sing but also there is a backing vocal throughout which also gives the song a thicker sound and beautiful effect. If I did the live engineering Id have the choir part as a backing track which would make it a lot better live. Maybe have footage of a choir singing it with the backing track would look cool.

I see what you mean. I like VOB music but to be honest I prefer to listen to their OMV where Marsya's vocals are more polished and pleasant to hear. But there are indeed singers or vocalists whose vocal skills are actually better when recording in the studio (regardless of auto tune), due to the effect of a calmer, more comfortable atmosphere and less pressure, compared to when performing live with frenetic sound system and the crowds, of course she/he has to put more effort into singing, which could result in vocals that aren't quite as good as in OMV. However, I see Marsya's vocals getting more mature from time to time and hopefully she can consistently bring that maturity on stage as well.

Voice of Bakitos was originally 15 personnel disbanded 7 personnel.. Disbanded 3 people, there were many who did not have moral and financial support.. He had to sell for transportation if there was a rock event.. 3 people disbanded because of radical Islam attacks being hit by marsa.. The problem of clothes in the whip is forbidden to play women's music not shown..expelled from school ..3 people move ..anyone in this condition will not be strong. .. whoever it is, there is only a spirit teacher( abah erza), he is strong.
