I was so excited to pick this up. I'm a huge fan of the sub sets, especially Iron Grenadiers and Python Patrol. I'm with you 100% on everything you said about the toy vs. the cartoon. Before I saw him on the DIC series, he was Destro's man. Cool, calm, and destructive. Then the cartoon came out and I was like, nah, my version is better. As a kid, I called them Iron Grenaders too, and even though I know as an adult it's Grenadiers, it will forever be Greanaders in my mind and heart.

Just for anyone thinking about this figure. The top rockets do not fit into the launchers without the blast effect, and the bottom 4 basically just lay loose in the launchers

@ 2:05, I feel you, man. Do you remember the Cops n Crooks toy line? Those were some serious figures... Until the cartoon came out on that Ron Reagan, white bread, Soccer mom PC shit and made them all look like kid friendly bumbling idiots. They were some bad-assed toys. They came with these caps you could blast with their guns and shit. I can still smell the smoke. (Turbo Two-Tone and his gangster mobile, Mr. big boss, Dr. bad vibes, Rock-crusher And the Black Elliot Ness Micheal Jackson looking dude with the curl and the spats, I had'em all as a kid) but after seeing that cartoon shit, and being taunted at school for having them, I threw'em all away. What a waste.

I loved that guy. The gimmick with him having a rocket launcher back pack with two miniature rocket launcher packs on the side of his thighs. Garry Chalk played him real well with that hick accent. I hope Metalhead is in the next GI Joe movie.

I am a big Metal Head fan, never saw the DIC. I am disappointed with this one. The missiles not fitting securely, or not at all in the missile tubes without the blast effects is a huge miss for me.

I just remembered him being incredibly Annoying and a ridiculous character covers in rockets 😂 my gi joe days were kinda over by this era I was moving on to other things……his classified figures looks good tho I do like the figure with out all that other crap on him. I might grab him on clearance……..lol the cold slither is a nice touch

Was super disappointed with this figure. Missile color is...off shall we say. Plus no option to plug in the missiles without the effects. Articulation on the backpack is super loose and wonky plus the wires are a pain to keep in. Just too busy of a figure. One of the first real disappointments of the series. 3/10

So disappointing super gummy weapons. A pain to assemble and abs loose like firefly. Maybe it's just mine but soooooo sad. Recondo also weapons are extremely gummy. Disappointing figures
