Gfriend has performed different style of music. Crossroads probably appeals more to their long term fan and folks more into the orchestral sounds. You should instead reacted to Gfriend's Labyrinth.

That’s why I recommended y’all listen to Fingertip or Time for the moon night by them 🥺 Fingertip is more like navillera, it has a super funky bass sound and is a lot more up beat. Time for the moon night is more like this song but I think it’s one of the most pretty songs in Kpop. It’s definitely the most “anime” intro sounding. When I first heard it I wasn’t Interested until it got through the first chorus. It’s incredibly cinematic sounding, and I just have a feeling you might enjoy it more than this one. At the very least I’d like to see your thoughts on the musicality of it. Thanks, love y’all as always

You would enjoy a song from this mini album Labyrith. Check out their special performance video it's really great. Gfriend has a lot of great songs, their Japanese discography is literal perfection, while their Korean stuff is a tale of constant improvement and stylistic choices. Give them another chance and you would find something that will capture you, for sure!

I think you guys may like GFriend's song called "Fingertip" cuz it's super funky with the bass guitar and guitars, also more powerful than what they usually do. Also the intro part of this song is a story continuation of "Fingertip" cuz btw this song crossroads references some of their older songs ✌😎

Gfriend signature sound is actually anime inspired, even a bunch of their concepts were based from anime/manga/japanese novels Rough = anime film "the girl who leapt through time" Love Whisper = 90s studio ghibli film "whisper of the heart" Please Save My Earth = 90s anime and manga with the exact same title Summer Rain = 2005 japanese novel-turned-film "ima ai ni yukimasu (be with you)"

Stylistically this song sounds a lot like jpop rather than kpop. The production is clearly more kpop, but the instrumentation and chord structure is more like jpop. I'd say the vocal lines were a lot like a ballad while the instrumental was more like a upbeat jpop instrumental. It's an interesting mix of styles.

Would definitely recommend Fingertip for a more hard hitting song by them, or Labyrinth which was their recent b-side. There's a performance video from the 1thek channel for it. Me Gustas Tu could be an option too, it's got a great electric guitar section like in Navillera

yeah, crossroad is boring song, badly mixed, even for a kpop song is a flat ones. metal is a highly dynamic genre with lots of explosive energy, so a metalhead or metal enthusiast will find crossroad not interesting.
