6:05 I don't actually agree that Olivia Rodrigo ripped off Misery Business. I could see her being inspired by it, but none of the aspects of it that sound similar are copyrightable, and for good reason. The reasons they sound similar is because they use a typical chord progression, have a pop punk instrumental and the singers both sound similar because they're teen girls. By those metrics, 90% of brutal death metal is rip-offs of stuff that came before it. The chorus melodies are completely different. Why did Hayley Williams get writint credit? Because music copyright is a mess and it's very easy to win those kind of lawsuits because admittedly they do sound similar. But Hayley Williams doesn't own a vocal style, she doesn't own pop punk and the songs to my ear aren't the same by any stretch. And I say this as a Paramore fan who doesn't like Olivia Rodrigo's music.
