METALHEAD REACTS to "Warriors Of The World United" by Feuerschwanz

There were some guests on this: Melissa Bonny (main band Ad Infinitum), Thomas Winkler (aka Angus McFife former lead singer of Gloryhammer, guy in green armor), Saltatio Mortis (represented by vocalist Alea, guy in black with the nice beard). Feuerschwanz are way less parody (but still mostly humorous) nowadays. Their original material is usually in German (with some Latin thrown in here & there) but for the deluxe editions of the 2020 album Das Elfte Gebot and the 2021 album Memento Mori they recorded a bonus disc with seven cover songs each. Although most of the covers are in German too, there are some in other languages. The current Feuerschwanz lineup is: Hauptmann Feuerschwanz (Captain Firedick [yes, it differs from the translation of the band's name]), vocals & acoustic guitar, last remaining founding member Johanna von der Vögelweide (literally Johanna of Birdswillow, slang Johanna of Screwmeadow), violin & hurdy gurdy Hans der Aufrechte (Hans the upright / Hans the erect), electric guitar Prinz Richard Hodenherz III (Prince R. Testicleheart III), called Hodi, vocalist & multi instrumentalist (whistles, backpipe, acoustic guitars...) Jarne Hodinsson (Jarne Hodi's son) bass guitar Rollo H. Schönhaar (Rollo H. Prettyhair) drums Mieze Musch Musch (Kitty Puss Puss) dancer / stage & video preformer Mieze Myu (Kitty Meou) dancer / stage & video preformer (she was also guest musician as a harpist on some songs under her real name Jenny)

Hey man, Feuerschwanz are in general a fun/party band, but they also do serious songs. "Warriors" is definitly not a parody, more a tribute, and in my opinion, they lifted the song to another level of epicness.

Feuerschwanz may have started as a comedy band, their last two albums have been much more serious. But that doesn't mean they occasionally go wild and have some fun like thier Dragosta din Tei cover.

You really need to check out more Feuerschwanz (Foyer-Sh-wanz), their new album is my favourite album of 2021.. not a single dud song on the album.. "Memento Mori" and their cover of "Warriors of the world united" is simply sublime! Other outstanding tracks: Ding, Meister Der Minne, Das Elfde Gebot, I see Fire, Metfest, Malleus Maleficarum, Hier kommt Alex, Schubsetanz (original & Black metal version), Untot im Drachenboot, Ultima Nocte, Drogstea Din Tei & Die Hörner hoch.

While "Feuerschwanz" _does_ translate to firetail, in German "Schwanz" also has a different meaning, um, how to phrase this on YT, it has a relation with male anatomy, I guess that's save to say? Kind of like in English there is another word for rooster that also has a different meaning :) Edit: Also many of the nicknames the bandmembers choose are similar word-plays or just poking fun at, well, everyone like Johanna von der Vögelweide, for example is a play on Vogel (bird) and vögeln (um, intimate male/female intercourse) Prinz R. Hodenherz III (Price R. Testicle-heart the 3rd) Rollo H Schönhaar (Rollo H. Pretty Hair) Edit edit: Facepalms himself. Yes a manowar cover - typical Joey DeMaio lyric-generator output 🙂 Share your school experiences...And Manowar was the perfect "act of defiance" --> seen the movie "ragman"? For Feuerschwanz-Originals: "Untot im Drachenboot" and "Auf Wiedersehen" - Their range is somewhere in between those 2 great songs.
