"Lathi" in old Javanese means tounge, but in the context of the lyrics it really means someone's "speech". Basically one's integrity or self-worth is reflected through someone's speech; either it's truthful and helps your loved ones grow, or full of lies and let him/her down. There's an Indonesian proverb with a similar message: "one's tongue can be sharper than knife." Java is the main island of Indonesia, and Javanese is one of 300 ethnic groups in Indonesia. Their culture is a concoction of indigenous, Islamic, Hindu, and Buddhist influences. The metal puppet is wayang, there's folk dance, instruments mixed with techno and pop in the song.

Wow, This is definitely a great song. The beat is on point. The video leads me to believe that somehow she fell in love and that ended up being a toxic relationship. So I kind to explain some stuff from that video : 1. Lathi is from Javanese language some Indonesian traditional language it means tongue or words .In the reff we can hear the lyric "Kowe ra iso mlayu saka kesalahan, ajining diri ana ing lathi" it means "You can't run from mistakes, a person selfesteem comes form his words". The sentence is a Javanese proverb. 2. There so many kind of Javanese culture on that video . You can see a man riding horse that called "Kuda Lumping", a man who eating some glass and blowing fire that called " "Debus", a woman who dance that called "Gambyong Dance" and some kind like a doll there is called "Wayang" 3. Good morning bro, this is my first time listening and hearing this music. I was not certain what to expect. I love her voice right away. There is a mix of different styles happening here. So my guess is that there are parts from Indian music connected with modern trap style as well as pop music elements. It is done with flawless momentum and it all moves fluidly. The message in the song seems to be of love that turns into oppression and abuse which becomes toxic. Her response to fight back and defeat the toxicity is epic. I can see why this resonates with so many people. Overall, I really like this and the music is awesome!! Congratz on another successful video my brother!!!
