Thank you. The duplication and S+Z was helpful. In my previous work I've been using solidify and bevel modifiers and manually selecting the faces and splitting them. Your way is far easier!

Try playing with lighting placement, HDRi map, you can try to change something in the render settings, like contrast

For some reason my screen turned out black when trying to render?

You need to add lighting. I have hdri map as lighting. You can use normal lighting sources

Why didnt you add a link to the blender file or at least show us to set up the scene. Thats what makes this a metallic text, but you just left that out. Seems like such a small effort to include this essensial thing as the scene layout

Because it's not that hard...There's only three light sources with a power of 1000 and a Hdri map
