What kind/size needle do you use to do hand embroidery with this metallic thread? I have a large eye size 7 darner and having problems getting it to thread-even with a needle threader. Any tips?

i haven't found that any of the metallic threads tarnish over time... and i've got a dress with a ton of metallic thread that is about 8 years old

@@sarahclassicsewing HOORAY! I have had some larger silk ribbon embroidery projects (think pillows) start to tarnish after 5-10 years when I haven’t even washed them. Some were even in shadow boxes. It’s not like they were in high moisture environments either (Michigan).
