Sometimes I still struggle to realize this is only their 2nd studio album. This song sounds like they've been playing together for decades, so powerful! Too bad the mixing was so thin back in the day, it really needs more punchy bass and thickness to do the music "Justice" (see what I did there?). R.I.P. Cliff, some of us still miss you.

I prefer listening to live versions of Creeping Death for the same reasons, plus James singing better now than in 84
@yobrethren2 жыл бұрын
I know right, the jump of quality is just so big, Kirk's solos are less of a jumble of notes, James' singing and playing matured, Lars changed up with the drum patterns more, and Cliff made fire basslines And that ICY guitar tone, echoey drums, sweet overdriven bass, absolutely beautiful album

Metal primarily idolizes and worships strength both mental and physical as does Satanism. Instead of arguing that metal isn't Satanic you'd do much better to make sure the persons claiming it's somehow a negative thing knows what Satanism actually is.

@jackcoleman17844 жыл бұрын
It is and it isn't. The song was written based on The Ten Commandments which is a movie based on the biblical story of Moses starring Charelton Heston. So it is based on a bible story in the second degree but you still run into whatever issues come from the interpretation from story to film. I'm not enough of an expert in either to be able to point them out. Even then the Moses story is technically from the Torah so it's a Jewish story before it's a bible story but the specific basis here is the biblical account. If you're looking for Metallicas commentary on religion as a whole they didn't comment on it as often as other thrash bands but when they did it was always negative. James history with it isn't pleasant. He came from a Christian science family and watched his mother die slowly of cancer refusing treatment because of their religion. Christian scientists essentially believe all healing should be Godly intervention.

@@martinkuliza I said I'm not enough of an expert on the film The Ten Commandments or the Mosea story to be able to list the differences. Meaning my lack of expertise extends to those differences only. English much?

@@martinkuliza You were mucking with me. Seems legit. Listen next time you say some stupid shit and someone points it out instead of acting like you weren't serious like a pussy just have some humility and come out ahead of the curve instead of looking like a stupid fuck that can't admit they made themselves look ridiculous.
@jackcoleman17844 жыл бұрын
@@martinkuliza Martin Kuliza Yeah so "seems legit" is a sarcastic way of saying you're obviously fucking lying you idiot. You have sarcasm wherever you're from where they don't have subject nouns right? It's well known to everyone but you go look it up. You need humility because you weren't "mucking around" you're just trying to save face. You literally replied three times each time trying to claim to have been casually joking. Three replies is beyond casual you dumb fuck and noone would ever buy it.

Kirk wrote the riffs when he was 15 years old
@jackcoleman17844 жыл бұрын
Not saying you're wrong but I never heard that Kirk wrote all of these riffs just one. He wrote the "die by my hand" riff when he was in Exodus which I think they were planning to use in a song called "Impaler" if memory serves but don't quote me on it. Exodus actually didn't manage to release "Impaler" until 2003 on Tempo Of The Damned.
