My two cents: Someone recommended that I weigh in. I'm listening to your version and the original version side by side. Did you play any recorded instruments, yourself? This largely sounds like a remastering exercise. The timing and tempo are basically identical. So are James' vocals (maybe they're a little different, but it's hard to notice). The biggest difference are the drums, which sound sampled; the guitar tone, which you've altered; and the bass. Not much else to say, but it does transform the song somewhat-especially from the drums, which are less noisy and brassy than Lars' 1986 kit.
