Metallica has got to be the most documented band of all time. There’s video on everything. From cover songs to therapy sessions and everything in between.

Wrong! Nothing from their first 4 albums is documented behind the scenes whatsoever. Wasn't till black album that thry started making behind the scenes.

Yeah but the problem with that is that from 1983 to 1989 they weren't like that. And that was respected by the fans. They liked the fact that Metallica purposely avoided the "main-stream" world. But now......now they're over exposed and totally commercial. Period! And that my freinds; kind of leaves a bad taste in the older fans mouth. Because we have the perspective of what once was; and what it is now. And the difference is black to white. And I know that the new, younger fans cannot have that perspective. But it's all true. Metallica turned mainstream. And in the beggining years.......they promised the fans that they would forever uphold that promise. And they did do that throughout the 80,s only. And those were the best years for Metallica.....as a fan that is.

I love the thought behind this album. The thought if doing a cover album just to give credit to those who made you want to pick up and play, and at the same time giving a different spin on the songs is just awesome. I know some people would disagree, but I hope that Metallica release a few new covers as B-Sides to the upcoming album. I'd certainly love to hear some new ones!

YeOldeOgre Well, as far as the $5,98 was an ep and not a propper album, plus the fact that it ended up already integrated among the rest of the Garage Inc album, technically means they got just one covers album. If they do another now on this quarantine for instance, that would be their second.

Garage days I believe was the most incredible guitar sound to this day. If I could sound that heavy I would never change it. What would be more incredible is to have Hetfield and Mustaine put out a Record together. Musically life would be complete to see the masters collaborate on a project like this. James and Dave need to imagine how much the fans would love this idea, and the support world wide would be amazing. Hell they could prove to the world that anyone can get along!! World wide peace tour!! Im all for it.

Garage INC as well as all their 90s Stuff is Stellar , I really Hope that they will Make New Albums in that Vain (especially be as adventurous as on Load ) and Stop doing what fans want like what they did with Death Magnetic

HOLLOWOXDT1 yep. load was full of fucking great songs that were ballsy, bluesy, heavy as fuck, and grooved like a motherfucker. That's what I call hard rock.

Maybe something in the vault from may 2nd 1999? Bogota Colombia, the most important show in history of the country! (I mean no bootleg, something official in the Metallica's secret vault....) Thanks!

I love metallica but why does everyone bang on about they have not done a good record since the black album its cos of that album as good as it was it sold them out and they strugle to find there roots the hardcore fans turned there backs on them most turning to pantera or slayer and fans that only buy albums because there in the charts turned there backs on them when it took 5 years to relase load the hype of the black album was history to them ... I still love them and see them live when I get a chance albums after tge black still have some great songs...
