This is not how it happend or sounded. I know, cause I was there. They edited this to make it look and sound flawless, but in reality he missed his que because he broke a string, I think, which made him hesitate. Luckily the band just kept playing. He switched guitars when he started singing the first verse.

I wouldn't necessarily call it insane talent although Hetfield is obviously a very talented guitarist but as a fellow musician I know that after rehearsing and playing a certain song for so many years you learn to play the song like it's second nature. It's like learning how to ride a bike, you never forget it and you only get better with time and repetition.

@@zacsalmon5086 Kindly disagree. Joey rushed the tempo and missed sync with James, trying to fit way too many notes and Dave was stiff like a frozen up tractor. Both INCREDIBLE drummers, but lacked Metallica’s rhythmical sense of pocket and groove. There are tons of far better metal/rock drummers than Lars out there, but almost no one can replicate the original taste that Lars’s playing brings to the table. (Just a fanboy opinion though) 😌
