Interesting to see all this automation with that x y z system. I never looked into this much as not everyone gets this job of course..I’m a software engineer & i like robotic things; make your theoretical ideas become real physical things. And on such stage it’s pretty big at once.

I just did a few searches for lighting fixtures. I'm guessing they have a few dollars wrapped up in the lighting kit. Plus the line array speakers and supporting amps & sound boards. Maybe a couple mil wrapped up in that alone. After that you gotta make the promoter wealthy beyond his/her imagination, and so on (assuming the group gets anything after the bills are paid). No wonder concert ticket prices are so damn high.

Here's what Big Mick wrote: „We have two types of subs, 36 x 1100s and the 48 x VLFC subs, the later are the ones in the corners on the ground, not all 48 are deployed at every venue. They are only used for effects to cover from 11hz to 35hz. Big booms basically, etc. The 36 x 1100s are all flown and provide the sub for the main system and hence help derive the sound of the band. The VLFC subs are a little bit to low in frequency to really be useful for the sound of the band.“

Probably watch a lot of videos on this, research products and equipment and the terminology, go on forums of people who do this stuff. - There's sources for everything.

I now class that professional as a semi-pro. Never ever put fixtures on a speaker/sub system. Its just gonna vibrate off and break. Also makes your positions and effect out of line. Its a pretty cool lighting design have to admit, but just please get those fixtures off the speaker/sub system.
