Currently just using triggers. Mic is there and ready to track need be. Reso skin finger tight and batter skin on the tighter side.

That's the first new Metallica song I've heard.and I like it it's def.different.im 49 and grew up on ride the lightning and master of puppets.i love your double pedal playing on the cover.by the way I've been following u and started to learn the double pedal ,about a month know using the ankle tech.ive almost got it .Im at the point we're I'm using both feet just not that fast.btw ive only been playing around 3 years .love your channel

It's a blanket to help with the triggering of the kick drum. Essential it helps deaden the batter skin a little bit so the trigger doesn't misfire.

How do you blend you bass drum triggers with all of your untriggered drum and are your triggered drums coming through your headphones.

The kick is all triggered. Multiple different sounds that are shaping the sound you hear. I do have the kick drum in my ears as well as playback. Everything else is done in post.

Every cover i see drummer wants to play exactly the Lars version nobody wants to experience on some fill in parts that everyone know lars could do better in this song, the only version i see kind a different talking fill wise is Tomas Lang Version you shoul check it out
