@bwkneller9 жыл бұрын
For all the "haters" out there giving her a thumbs down? Jealous much? This girl is an amazing and accomplished guitarist who could EASILY work as a professional session musician and with a little help, she could walk on stage and play next to the likes of Orianthi, Vai, Satriani, Malmsteen, Gilbert, Wylde, etc. She nails it note-for-note and her tone is spot on. Her bends, vibratos and pinch harmonics are 100% on the money. I have played for years, I too have a Vigier Excalibur Standard, and I can only hope that I can one day be 1/10th the guitarist that this teenage girl is today.

Bruce Kneller I agree that her soloing is top notch, better than some of Hammet's live performances. However her riffing needs a little bit of work especially the palm muting. Maybe it's because of her small hands. All in all she's still very young. Give her another year or two and she'll play flawlessly.

***** You have not yet heard her blistering cover of Van Halen's "Eruption" I take it?

***** LOL! I am not upset in the least. I just call it like I see it. I'm not getting high an mighty in the least. I don't see a lot of kids her age playing anywhere near her level. This video is not the only video that I am basing my opinion on. Perhaps, you might spent 10 minutes looking at her other videos my friend?
@bwkneller9 жыл бұрын
***** You are entitled to your opinion and I do feel she could share a stage with pretty much any living guitarist and hold her own. Music is art and art is opinion. My opinion of her music is that I find her to be impressive. She is a great guitarist now. Not just for her age. Not just for being female. The devil is in the details which for me is closing my eyes and not looking at who is playing but what I hear. I would offer that you not base your opinion of her or of my opinion on this Metallica cover but look at her channel and see her covers of Malmsteen and Van Halen which are - again merely my opinion - exceptional.

I think music genius is in subtety and Tina S thrives in being subtle - her facial expressions at times say 'did you catch that.' The only comparison I can think of to Tina S as far as the scope of music genius is Yuja Wang [piano]...maybe even Grace Kelly [sax]. RARE talent, indeed, who I hope one day will post more music genius!

Some of the best guitarists in the world, who have been playing decades longer than she has, would readily admit that they cannot perform some of the same feats on the fretboard that she can. She is a once in a lifetime virtuoso on the guitar. The combination of her talent, feel, speed, accuracy, dexterity and complexity is truly a gift from God. I know we’re not supposed to say this, but she's performing these covers better than some of the guitar legends who wrote them.

Daaaaaamn... this came up on my playlist and I noticed a slight difference in the guitar sound over the studio track but I thought it was a live version or remaster or something. I didn't have the video window in focus, was just listening so I didn't realize it was a guitar cover until the video paused and I had to bring the screen back up to resume. I was floored to realize that what I'd been listening to wasn't Kirk Hammet but instead a teenaged girl! I wouldn't have known had I not seen her playing it instead of him. This is godsdamned impressive as hell. As a metalhead who was listening to this stuff when it was still current and in fact before it was popular in the mainstream, let me tell you there's a future for this young woman as a musician. I can only imagine how much she's progressed in the five years since this was initially recorded, and I have no doubt that if she's not in a band already then she should be.

why the dislikes? I really don't see why.. maybe you all can play this better?? A like from me. this level of play deserves acknowledgment & appreciation of all the sweat and blood put into this.

She is better at steve vai style pieces. And of course anyone has ears can hear the mistakes -really significant ones- and it's enough to comment or disslike i guess. PLAYING BETTER IS ANOTHER ISSUE BRO. It's about talent, progress, time and practise. We here, youtube creatures can see god of the instruments on this platform. Even randomly haha..So dont be surprise. But girl is so cool and promising on the other hand.

She's special, in a special good way. It's mind blowing, she's mind blowing.

magnificent. I have been playing this song for 25 years. would like to see any troll attempt those two solos and nail them with such a combination of technical proficiency and emotion. Not to mention downpicking the entire song for 9 minutes.

Mike H well I could do it too if I sped it up like she does and before you respond go back and watch. It’s clearly sped up

Tim Sawyer she down picks the chorus which is the most important part to down picking, now she's not fretting it to the official way Metallica plays it but she still got a great tone and execution.

@Tim Sawyer. How is your guitar playing, any progress? Why must try to mock others, better than self. Adults always try to ridicule children and teens who do things that are difficult to even adults with years of parctice. Tina has played guitar since she was 6. Talent and hard work plus good teachers has led to this. I don't hink that everybody can do this, but it's certainly doable for those who dedicate themselves practicing. Keep on practicing and you may yet be as good as Tina. Cheers.

@@japowey8958 Clearly? You're the village idiot aren't you? No need to answer. You've probably never even held a guitar, huh? Again, no need to answer.
