The sound production of this album was masterfully done, between Hetfield's 4 or 5 layered "wall of guitars" tracks to Lars' "gunshot" snare, it had some real meat to it.

MOP has a lush quality to it that I feel I can crank up to infinite volume without it hurting my ears, while this album can give me a headache at high volume
