Met one of Cliff's cousins in Roseville Ca. about 30 years ago. Was walking down the hall in their house and realized the photos on the walls were of him and Cliff. It blew my mind when I asked he said "Yip he's my cousin." Such a small world. We all still miss him.

I’d have to say seeing Metallica open up for Ozzy on that last tour with Cliff in ‘86 was probably one of the most memorable moments in my lifetime as a concert goer. I can still see him flailing his long hair around while wearing a Jean jacket and bell bottom Levi’s draped down keeping everything held down and tight within the band. You couldn’t miss him on stage. They (Metallica) really left an impression on you. 36 years gone, never to be the same.

When the friendship and love between "brothers" that we have lost is true, everything that appears over the years that makes us remember the good times gone by is a unique feeling. We all have this example.. It's a pain that will only pass on the day we all meet again... I believe that.....

I can't imagine how you guys must feel and miss cliff. As a 50 yr old man and growing up with metallica since 11 or 12 years old, cliff is the only musician/celebrity I've ever had actual saddened feelings of loss and grief for after they've passed. How much was taken from him , the band and the entire world is no doubt way too much to say

Cliff is just like every great musician, his influence and impact is always fleeting because people fail to understand what music was like before they changed it. Like the Beatles or the Pixies.

Blackened is the end . I did not know at the time what it was it was very strange unusual sound to me. But I liked it and justice was the first Metallica album that I heard. That's where it started. Then I wanted more. And. I'm 43 now. Long love Metallica. They changed my life in a good. Way. Thank u Metallica. And cliff Burton. Head banged like none I know.
