Nice collection of songs here... Lars' sticks too. Very authentic. Congrats on your success thus far. Like #59.

Thank you. I switched to ahead sticks a year ago because I was sick of having wood splinters everywhere in the room all the time. And because I constantly needed new ones because they broke all the time and within an hour of playing the weight balance was completely different compared to a new pair.

How you mix the kick drum? has a beautiful natural sound and at the same time click. can you tell me step by step how and where to do it?
@DruBaGuiCovers Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I use two mics, audix D6 & shure beta 91. Well and then you need to try which frequencys you need from each mic for the sound you want. I think I have a low pass for the D6 at about 100 Hz and a high pass for the beta91 somewhere between 2k - 4k. Same principle goes for the snare where I use 4 mics.

Why do you switch your drumsticks after the Songs
@DruBaGuiCovers Жыл бұрын
They get sweaty after a while and the grip gets worse. Also I like to wear all pairs evenly.

Incredible covers man. Lars has yet to top his performance in these shows. S&M2 was cool but his drumming wasn't even close to what he accomplished here.

Thank you! Yes, the 90s era was top of the game. Playing 2 + hour shows on that level of physicality… I couldn’t do it.

What drums are those

It‘s a Tama Imperialstar shellset which I Upgraded with silver sparkle wraps from precision drum company and with starclassic hardware.

This is awesome!!! You nailed every single song. Question from a fellow drummer here, how do you get your hi hats to sound washy like that when the clutch isn't grabbing the cymbal? Is the nut on top of your top high hat set to be really loose? Thanks! Great cover!!
@DruBaGuiCovers Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, the nut is completely loose. But that that won’t automatically sound the same with every hi hats. Most of that sound comes from those hi hats. The loose nut will only extend sustain. With tighter nut it will still sound like that, just a little less sustain.
