@@dr.amygdala6524 First off, they’re not “on” anything (other than cocaine, probably 😂). And no, none of them are IN their sixties. They’re all in their late fifties. 56, 57, 57 and 58 to be exact. And finally, so what? They’re still fully capable of singing. Your voice and vocal cords start to deteriorate usually after 65. And James is fully capable of singing at almost the same level as he was in the late 90s. In terms of motor functions though, they HAVE indeed become weak, which comes from age, which is why Kirk has gotten a bit sloppy in the past few years. But what he meant was their creativity both in their live performances of their old songs, and writing new songs, and they started going downhill in that regard. Plus, they weren’t “on their 60s” in the albums after the Black Album

TBH, I like Rob on bass for Metallica, but seeing this performance, you can't deny that Jason was a great fit for the band.

I think James should have been a little nicer about Jason singing I mean Jason wasn't terrible at vocals. It's just that James always had problem thinking that someone else would enjoy hearing different vocals sometimes

Jason was the energy we needed for us kids in the 90’s who picked up on Metallica!!! Meant so much to them and yet they perhaps didn’t realize it until later obviously.

I think to this day Metallica doesn't appreciate how Jason's anger carried them after Cliff died. James' vocals were never the same, the aggression was never the same, except for the new guy.

I'm from Phoenix n my band practiced in the same rehearsal facility as Flotsam n I got to know Jason pretty well n he was an extremely cool cat n I'm disappointed to hear bout the way he was treated in Metallica but he should be very proud of his great accomplishment nonetheless!!! I wish him great happiness n I miss cracking beers with him at the studio!!! Cool memories!!!
