This is a million times better than the studio version. Thanks for the upload! :D

Definitely, the originals production sounded to compressed

Much better, thanks a lot. I love this track. James' voice sounds great, and the whipping sound from the guitar or drums is really awesome.

That “the end of the line” at 2:42 is something you added, did you take it from the demo?

Weird that the dude gets paid thousands upon thousands to mix, but some youtuber makes a much cleaner sound. This is much better, and my hearing sucks.

It wasn’t Rubin’s choice. The guys at Metallica know nothing about sound, and even though he does, he has to bend to their wishes as its their record
@strat4587963 жыл бұрын
@@triad5766 I have to disagree, Metallic had a large part in the mixing for their albums from the black album onwards and in my opinion are all pretty well mixed albums. Rubin is notorious for how “loud” and compressed his albums are. There was a problem with RHCP’s “Californication” and Black Sabbath’s album 13 being like this
@kingnothing21613 жыл бұрын
@@strat458796 really a shame, because this realistically could have sounded alot closer to how HTSD sounded sonically. Whether or not you like the songs, or even the guitar tone, there are dynamics each instrument has room to breathe and doesn't sound flat
@strat4587963 жыл бұрын
@@kingnothing2161 I think DM is one of Metallica’s best albums even up there with the first 4. Lyrically and musically some of their best work since the black album it’s just so exhausting to listen to. None of the guitars have any sort of dynamics to them and the bass is just lost in the mix
@kingnothing21613 жыл бұрын
@@strat458796 people often compare DM to AJFA as far as song structure, and I'd say that's fair. However its also eerily similar in being bogged down by bad sound/production, but DM suffered more and with pretty much no excuse
