He isn't shit. But if you "compare" him to some other lead guitarists, with all due respect he falls a little short. His style seems very limited (I mean why do you think ppl troll him with "pentatonic" jokes), it works well for metallica no doubt. And yes I do play guitar, I am not even close to his level of skill but I think he can do better, his earlier stuff was very good, lately....idk not so much

My mom said she was at this show. It was like 8 or 9 months before I was born so she says. The show must of soaked into her ovaries or something. She did have backstage passes and met the band and stayed for like 5 hours after the show, they must of had good food.. but anyways.. My whole life I just do random drums fills in the weirdest places and speak Danish like I have tourettes and I once uninstalled Napster from my friends computer and I have no idea why.

Cliff Burton may be a legend, but Metallica´s absolute peak as a live band is due to Jason Newsted. He made Lars´s playing sound tighter, James´s voice sound fiercer and made them look altogheter as a serious heavy metal band. Not even the most technical bassist could fill his shoes.

@@royalmarine1011 I agree with you. It´s been acknowledged by them that Cliff brought the most varied influences to the band, as well as a more profound musical theory background. I think his contributions were fundamental to their musical growth.... but as a LIVE band, Jason had amazing backing vocals and a more solid, profound bass sound the band lacked, and made them sound more powerfull than ever (before or since).
