man, this brings back memories listening to this. I still have this CD, in my original 1996 fan club "Fan Can" (an actual 1-gallon paint can with a Metallica sticker on it) somewhere in the closet. This came out between Load and Reload, so them teasing a new song at the end (turned out to be "Better Than You") drove me nuts. Love hearing them joke and banter and give Bob Rock a hard time. Also a bit bittersweet hearing Jason in better times. But the goofing around - still cracks me up 20 years later! 🤘😝🤘

its hard to see what metallica was experiencing back then . It was the age of Grunge and Emo was starting to be cool . They started to feel as though the only way to keep with the stuff that was churning out those days was to be more like them . And load came out - it was less appealing and 50% less than Black Album for many , then reload it was 50% what load was . But that was a weird ERA for metallica. But thye pulled through - Barely . But their concerts were something else. Each time I saw a metallica concert it was like on another planet , it was beautiful.
