The note says there’s a big chance it’s not :) these stems sometimes have other instruments bleed in, like in Sad But True the bass track also had James’ baritone guitar on those 0-00

Yes. They tried different basses for that ku-jung, but ended up with a 12-string. They telll that in a Classic Albums documentary

At that point, I'd just let someone else play it. This has to be one of the most boring bass lines MetallicA have to offer and you know Jason didn't write it.
