They really handled this the best way possible. They still put on a show (though not without its trainwrecks), handled an unprecedented situation on the fly like professionals, and promised a free return gig. And not "we'll come back next year," they gave it a month. And Jason really stepped up, especially considering he probably didn't want to be there.

Daron Malakian killed it on guitar esp on One.. I bet he grew up playing the same Metallica songs we all learned to play growing up in our bedrooms and was probably living out his childhood fantasy and playing from memory lol. Also... I miss Jason in Metallica!

I have always wondered if James told Jason what he did was appreciated. Jason saved the day stepping up to the role of a frontman. It wasn’t perfect but if it wasn’t for Jason there would have been no Metallica shows those couple days. 🤘✌️

Yeah, they did 2 shows in Lexington, KY on August 8th and 9th. Both shows are on my channel. The second show was the last full show played with Jason still in the band. Check the playlists to find shows easier.
