I love the hand drawn scenes, especially the one where sonic transforms into dark sonic, the impact frames and the hand drawn pictures mixed together made that scene look so much better than I thought it would This animation was a 10/10 and I really hope that future animations from other sprite animation creators can live up to this level and hype

Oh god. This was such a treat. Where do I even start? No, seriously. Where? The fact that you made an intro for context, the amazing use of art instead of sprites, the recycling of past animation including sound effects, huge nostalgia, the entire animation itself? I’m really at loss for words because the original was a really great piece of work that I ever so enjoyed during the more younger days of my youth so seeing this, it was a huge throwback and a really amazing remaster. I think my favourite part about this is how you get the impression that the fight is one sided at first and then it shifts, then shifts again and again quicker until they’re evenly matched, as if Metsllic is adjusting to dark sonic’s abilities but the difference in speed ensures he can’t be ready for them all In the original it did seem that metallic just suddenly started fighting back more efficiently out of nowhere but in this version it’s shown slowly but surely, and knowing the form actually takes a toll adds to it, showing how powerful the dark form is without diminishing Metallix as a threat

I feel the same! In the original it felt a little too one sided, I wanted this version to be a little more back and forth. Metallix wasn't suppose to get completely outmatched. Metallix adjusting how to a fight this new form is totally there! I always wanted it to be known that Dark Sonic is just slightly stronger than Super but it comes at cost. Where in Super you can come out of the transformation and be perfectly fine, Dark Sonic is actively hurting the user during and after

This improved on the original in a lot of ways, and I thought the original was such a fun two-part animation to watch already. Those transformation sequences were AMAZING. Easily the highlight of the whole video, honestly. Great to see the team embrace using animation that's not purely based on sprites or pixels, even if sometimes it looks a bit jarring. As for the fight itself, it looks great. Although, towards the start, the fight choreography was doing one of two things. 1. One person got their combo off, and then the other person got their combo off. 2. The fight is mostly even, and the characters were showing that it was even either by having constant clashes or each one taking turns getting a single hit in. A lot of Sonic sprite animations, good and bad, do these things. It's hard to explain how to break out of this trend for a fight animation. It got better the further into the episode we got, but the point remains: try to be careful, so you can avoid this trend. There's not a lot to say about the character writing. It was fine, mainly there to explain the beats of the story. I love Shadow's "I'll be outside," and I like that he's the first one to move. On the contrary, however, I liked that the original video did not explain Sonic's plan to Shadow at the end. It was a wonderful case of "Show, don't tell." You all are improving by leaps and bounds. Happy to have seen the original all those years ago, and I'm happy to catch the remake.

This, right here, is a MASTERPIECE I loved the original video a lot back then and now a new version of it has been made! Absolutely amazing and i loved how (like one of the comments said) the dark form is shown to be able to stuff similar to body horror like stretching his arm around to legit SLAM Metallix multiple times to the ground, similar to bending a shadow which i like a lot! This was fire, no other words man. I know this guy has been cooking up a storm for the next episode of World Of Chaos. Like mcstabman5638 said I love how twisted and unsettling Dark Sonic's body morphing ability was. The arm stretching and the slamming attacks kinda reminded me of the werehog. I'd say the only two things I felt were missing was the feeling of impact and power behind some of the heavier attacks, and the choice of music (but the second one is probably more me than anything). Either way loved the video and the progress you've made with your style of animation.

i LOVE the stretchy hands, dark sonic doing that reminds me of venom kind of! there's so many incredible ideas that it feels like such an amazing natural prorgession of the original. my only suggestion is just that the music choice in the second half feels kind of... less energetic than the original? i feel like the music choice in the original suited both metallix and dark sonic a lot more, cause it really felt like two monsters giving it their all. that's literally the only criticism i have, everything else is straight up perfect man
